Savannah Guthrie shares rare family photo on Father’s Day as search for missing mother continues
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Savannah Guthrie offered fans a rare glimpse into her private family life on Father’s Day, sharing a heartfelt tribute to husband Michael Feldman as her family continues to cope with the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie.
'The Today' co-host posted a photo on Instagram showing Feldman relaxing in bed with the couple’s two children, daughter Vale, 11, and son Charley, 9. Alongside the image, Guthrie described her husband as “our hero” while celebrating the annual holiday honoring fathers.
The post comes amid an ongoing search for Guthrie’s mother, who disappeared from her Arizona home on February 1. Nancy Guthrie was 84 when she went missing, and efforts to locate her remain ongoing months later.
Father’s Day tribute offers rare look at family life
Guthrie, 54, has generally kept her family life out of the public eye despite spending years in the spotlight as a television journalist and Today anchor.
Her Father’s Day post featured a candid moment between Feldman and their children, highlighting the close-knit family life the couple has built since marrying in March 2014. Guthrie andFeldman first met at his 40th birthday party in 2008 and began dating the following year before getting engaged in 2013.
The television personality rarely shares personal family photos, making the Father’s Day tribute a notable glimpse into her life away from the camera.
Feldman previously honored Guthrie on Mother’s Day
The Father’s Day message follows a tribute Feldman shared for Guthrie on Mother’s Day while the family was dealing with the uncertainty surrounding Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
Posting a photo of Guthrie embracing their children, Feldman wrote, “To the strongest person I know. Surrounding you with love on Mother's Day. ❤️💔❤️.”
The message drew attention for its reference to the difficult period Guthrie has been navigating as the search for her mother continues. Couple previously revealed challenges before engagement
Although Guthrie and Feldman are often viewed as one of television’s most enduring couples, the journalist previously revealed that their relationship faced uncertainty before they became engaged.
During a 2019 episode of Today, Guthrie recalled telling Feldman that they needed to decide whether to get married or move on after years of dating.
"It got to the point where no one thought we were ever going to get married - including us, especially including me," she said.
The same day, Feldman surprised her with a proposal during a vacation in Turks and Caicos. The couple married the following year and now share two children.
As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, Savannah’s latest post highlighted the family support she has leaned on during a challenging chapter in her personal life.
