WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's campaign stepped up its accusations that FBI agents were authorized to use 'deadly force' against him while they searched Mar-a-Lago for classified documents as Special Prosecutor Jack Smith hurried to obtain a gag order to quiet the debunked assertion, Raw Story stated.

The likely nominee for the GOP misquoted a part of FBI policy in a fundraising email to supporters that was received late on Sunday, May 26. The revived claim has been refuted by a number of experts, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, who referred to Trump's use of it as 'dangerous'.

The fundraiser read, "This is an Alert from Donald Trump. DEADLY FORCE? Biden authorized it. They brought guns to the raid on Mar-a-Lago! I’m sick and tired of the Radical Left destroying this country and trying to destroy me. Here’s the bottom line: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER. AND NEITHER WILL YOU!"

Notably, the next part of the message requested up to $500 donation. The Guardian published a story about the most recent fundraising initiative.

Moreover, the basis for Trump's assertion is an FBI policy that allows agents to use deadly force, "When necessary, that is, when the officer has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person."

When FBI agents conduct searches, they always make this declaration. When the agents arrived at Mar-a-Lago, Trump was not there. The FBI said in a statement, "No one ordered additional steps to be taken and there was no departure from the norm in this matter."
