Scott Jennings dismisses concerns about Trump’s health, says he looked 'plenty energetic' at SOTU
WASHINGTON, DC: Conservative commentator Scott Jennings pushed back against speculation about President Donald Trump's health and mental acuity.
In a recent appearance on CNN's 'The Arena', Jennings dismissed claims of decline as unsubstantiated.
The segment featured a panel reviewing a Reuters-Ipsos poll showing 61% of respondents agreeing that Trump has "become erratic with age." Panelists, including Kristen Holmes, noted Trump's awareness of such questioning, while Aaron Blake highlighted the poll's findings.

Scott Jennings' on-air rebuttal about Trump's health
Jennings declared during the broadcast, "To compare Trump to Biden, they aren't even in the same ballpark." He continued, "He turns 80 in June...I watched the SOTU. He gave the longest SOTU in history, looked plenty fine and energetic to me. He holds routine news conferences, answers questions."
Jennings has previously defended Trump on the issue. In a December appearance on 'The Arena', he dismissed critics' concerns by saying "Democrats are so bu**hurt" over Trump's continued prominence.
“I honestly think this is an attempt to create a narrative about this guy that just doesn’t exist because Democrats are so butthurt over having to live through the humiliation of the White House under Biden, claiming he was fine when he clearly wasn’t,” he said. “They want to transfer that to Donald Trump.”
In another CNN segment from the same month, Jennings torched the panel for questioning Trump's mental fitness in the post-Biden era and called the criticism "unbelievable."
“You guys have been desperate for ten years to find the moment where Donald Trump is no longer going to be accepted, but he is the leader of the Republican Party,” he said at the time. “He is going to continue to be the leader of the Republican Party.”
State of the Union highlights Trump's stamina
Trump's State of the Union address was the longest in American history, lasting one hour and 48 minutes.
CNN's Abby Phillip observed, “I thought President Trump actually delivered a higher energy speech than, I think, even his speech last year... Big moments, emotional moments.”

Senator Kevin Cramer stated, “I just thought the president was fantastic tonight. He talks about so many things, it’s hard to boil it down to highlights. But what I really appreciated was he reiterated in very plain language without dwelling on any one thing."
"He articulated the victories of the last year, and particularly in the economy part of it. And of course, talking about the growth of American oil production and of course, the Venezuelan oil, the bringing down of gas prices and energy dominance. He was solid on that as he always is," the North Dakota politician added.
Representative Derrick Van Orden remarked, “Holy Bean Bags. @realDonaldTrump just delivered a SOTU for the ages. I am so proud to be an American.”

I am so proud to be an American.
A White House physician's note from December declared Trump in "excellent overall health," despite isolated incidents such as an MRI or brief moments of rest during meetings.
