WASHINGTON, DC: The United States Secret Service has assigned a new code name, 'Bobcat,' to vice presidential candidate Sen JD Vance, according to information provided by a friend to the Daily Mail.

First ladies, vice presidents, and other prominent individuals have been protected by the Secret Service and assigned code names since the 1900s.

Moreover, the White House Communications Agency provides a list of codenames for candidates to choose from. These names are designed to be easily communicated over the radio, as they are straightforward to pronounce. They are often personal and reflective of the candidate's character.
