LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Late Night' host Seth Meyers had a field day on Wednesday's episode with a surprising moment from Fox Business. During his 'A Closer Look' segment, Meyers dissected Donald Trump’s economic policies, highlighting how some of his stances clash with popular opinion.

Meyers pointed out that despite Trump's opposition, many ideas, such as cracking down on the price gouging of essential drugs, enjoy widespread support.

Bernie Sanders finds an unlikely ally on Fox Business

The twist came when Meyers noted that even Bernie Sanders, a figure often at odds with Trump, received unexpected praise on Fox Business. Chris McMahon, President of Aquinas Wealth Advisors, made waves during an appearance on the network, by commending Sanders' stance on drug pricing disparities.

"I’m gonna say this, this will be maybe the first time: Bernie Sanders may be right," McMahon remarked, adding, "On this one I’m saying, go Bernie. I’m feeling the Bern on this one."

Meyers couldn't help but inject his trademark humor into the moment, imagining Rupert Murdoch, the chief of Fox News, in a fit of rage.

"Somewhere in Australia, Rupert Murdoch is angrily snapping a didgeridoo in half," Meyers quipped in his comical Australian accent. He speculated about Murdoch's potential reaction, joking, "'You think you’re feeling the burn now, wait ’til I throw you on the barbie!'"

Despite the jests, Meyers underscored the significance of Fox Business, traditionally aligned with conservative viewpoints, offering a nod to Sanders.

"That’s Fox Business rooting for Bernie Sanders!" Meyers exclaimed, amused by the irony. He even suggested a mischievous strategy for Sanders: "It would be super funny if this encouraged Bernie to start talking about petty rich people concerns, just to get more positive coverage from Fox Business. He should do it just to troll them."

Public outcry: social media reacts to Fox News' shifting stances

Social media erupted with varied reactions to recent developments on Fox News, reflecting a spectrum of opinions on the network's coverage. Criticism was pointed, with a few users expressing frustration.

One user wrote, "FOX really needs to be sued over and over again"

Another said, "Trump on fox news asking him if he'd release the epstein files and then fox news editing it for their viewers says everything you need to know about today and all of human history...."

One user replied, "Fox talking about the cost of prescription drugs."

Another said, "Trump still thinks the exporting country pays tariffs instead of the importing country. That's how he bankrupted 3 of his own casinos."

One user added, "Murdock's kid has turned Fox News into CNN II now. All their better people have been run off now."

One commented, "Sounds like they forgot about trumps time. When he signed an executive order capping the price of insulin and epipens the liberal media went wild calling him a dictator. Now they celebrate it? Shows that they re in the tank. Truth doesn’t matter."
