NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Taylor Swift isn’t just a fan favorite, she’s also a dream collaborator for many artists, and Shakira is no exception. During an interview, Shakira was asked about working with Swift and shared her admiration while hinting that it would be a “dream” pairing.

This isn’t new territory for Shakira either. She has previously collaborated with major names like Rihanna and Beyonce, creating hits that reached millions worldwide. A potential Swift and Shakira collaboration, if it ever happens, could easily become a global chart-topper, bringing together two massive fan bases.

Shakira talks about Taylor Swift dream collaboration

During an interview with The Times, the 'Waka Waka' singer spoke about the potential collaboration, suggesting that it could be possible someday. Shakira, one of the biggest A-list performers in the world, has a huge following herself. While discussing Swift, she said, “Very, very smart (whose) head is where it should be. Collaborating with her would be a dream.”

She not only talked about a future collaboration but also praised Swift for her decisions in life and her approach to music. This is not the first time the 'Hips Don’t Lie' singer has expressed interest in working with Swift. Back in 2024, during the release of her album 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran', the mother of two had also mentioned Swift, hinting at her admiration for the pop star.

Now, apart from talking about Swift and a possible collaboration, Shakira also spoke about her love life.

“Oh no, no romance for me for now. There’s no space or time in my life for that. My plate is quite full. My kids are my priority. And my career. Strangely enough, I’m in love with my career like I’ve never been in my life. I’m enjoying my time alone as well,” she said.

Taylor Swift showed support during Shakira’s VMAs performance

Swift is known for her outgoing personality and for speaking her mind openly. She also doesn’t shy away from letting loose at concerts and shows. Swift has previously been seen enthusiastically dancing and singing along during Shakira’s performances, including moments at the 2023 MTV VMAs.

During one of her performances, Shakira took the stage with her signature choreography and delivered some of her biggest hits, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Swift was seen enjoying the moment, dancing along and picking up Shakira’s energy. She showed off her moves, vibing to the music alongside friends, including singer Sabrina Carpenter, and clearly having the time of her life. The particular video of Swift dancing went viral back in 2023 and is still considered one of the iconic moments.
