LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:  Shannen Doherty, the star of 'Beverly Hills, 90210' has shared some good news about her stage 4 cancer diagnosis.

In her latest podcast episode, she talked about her cancer journey and how she found a ‘miracle’ in her new treatment.

Shannen Doherty’s new cancer infusion breaks down the blood-brain barrier

Doherty, who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2015, said that she was on a new cancer infusion that had a remarkable effect on her condition.

She said that after four treatments, there was no difference, but she decided to ‘keep going’ with it.

“And yeah, after the sixth or seventh treatment, we really saw it breaking down the blood brain barrier. Do I call that a miracle? Yeah. For me, that happens to be a miracle right now. That I sort of rolled the dice and said, ‘Let’s keep going,’” she said.

She further revealed that her other oncologist supported her decision and that she was grateful for the hopeful results, as ET Online reported.

Shannen Doherty feels she has a second chance at life 

Doherty said that the infusion breaking down that blood-brain barrier is a "miracle of that drug."

She added, "A miracle of maybe God intervening and saying, ‘I’m gonna give her a break.’ Sometimes you’re looking for miracles in all the wrong places and they’re right in front of your face,” she added.

Doherty also said that having a positive attitude and hope was crucial for her cancer battle. The 'Charmed' star said that she appreciated every day as a gift and that she was optimistic about the new developments in the field of cancer research.

“Every day is a gift and there are so many new things in the works that I think hope is always there. I think it’s so important,” she said.

“Listen, I can die today, I can die in 20 years, I don’t know. I can die walking outside of my house and a tree falling on me or a bus hitting me, whatever. Or I can die of cancer," she added.

Shannen Doherty wants to live each day in a positive manner 

Not sure if her fate will be sealed by cancer o any other cause, Doherty still wants to feel positive and live each day of her life and be thankful about it. 

"But all I can do is live each day in as much as a positive manner with hope as I can and embrace it and feel like, ‘Wow, I get to wake up again today, what can I do?,’” she said.

She also said that she believed that positivity helped her body and her mind to fight the cancer. “I believe that positivity that you bring into your life, I think it helps with your whole body. I think that it helps you fight the cancer. Mind over matter a little bit,” Doherty said.

Doherty first revealed her stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis in 2020, after being in remission for a few years. She then said that the cancer had spread to her brain and to her bones in 2023.
