Shawn Mendes goes Instagram official with GF Bruna Marquezine to celebrate her 31st birthday
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shawn Mendes has made his relationship with new girlfriend Bruna Marquezine public.
The singer, 27, has reportedly been dating Marquezine since December last year and on Tuesday, August 4, he publicly celebrated her 31st birthday.

Taking to Instagram, Mendes shared a post wishing the Brazilian actress, as he wrote, “Feliz aniversário my baby.”
“You are a light and a mãe in every room you walk into. Not to be tooooo sappy but you’ve truly changed my life, and I am so so grateful for you. Eu te amo muito muito muitoo!!! We all do amor… & thank you @casaamarelaprovidencia for what you’re doing!” the ‘Senorita’ hitmaker added.

Mendes’ special post included three videos and a photo. The first video showed Marquezine being greeted by a group of excited children. The second video was of the model dancing as the children joined her.
The third slide was a clip showing Mendes sharing happy moments with two children at Casa Amarela Providencia, while the last slide was a photo of Marquezine cutely posing with a dog.
The ‘Mercy’ singer even posted a photo on his Instagram Story that showed him and his lady love posing together at Casa Amarela Providencia.

Before Marquezine, Mendes had reportedly dated Hailey Bieber but never made it official.
He, however, in late 2018 shared after their reported split, “I don't even wanna put a title on it. I think it was more of a zone of limbo. She's still one of the f---king coolest people ever — she's not just a beautiful person visually, but she's one of the most beautiful hearts I've ever met. I think I'm an idiot to not, you know …. But you can't control your heart.”
Mendes even dated Camila Cabello on and off from 2019 through 2023.
In 2021, the ‘Stitches’ singer and Cabello even issued a joint statement, saying, “Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ❤️. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”
He was also reportedly romantically linked with Sabrina Carpenter in February 2023.

Then in 2024, Mendes directly spoke with his fans at a concert in Colorado regarding his dating life.
“When you’re single, there’s this pressure of looking for ‘The One,’ who’s ‘The One?’... Damn, that’s a lot of pressure to put on someone when you first start dating,” he had said.
The musician further added, “For me, I’ve just been trying to take that pressure off of whoever, and just allow myself to experience the love that is happening in that moment, wherever and however that’s happening. Man, we all need a little bit of cuddling, a little bit of hugging.”
