'Daddy is off his rocker': Internet shreds Lara Trump as she claims presidential debate will be rigged
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lara Trump wasted no time in denouncing the two upcoming presidential debates as "rigged," mere hours after her father-in-law, Donald Trump, had agreed to participate in them.
The former president's decision to engage in these debates came on Wednesday, with the first scheduled for June 27 on CNN, followed by the second on September 10 on ABC.
"These debates are rigged," Lara Trump asserted. "He called their bluff," she insisted while noting "the scales are always tipped against" the former president.
Sean Hannity's take on debate's dynamic
“But this is the thing,” Hannity said. “They’re trying to collude. The media mob and Joe Biden, dictate all the conditions, all the rules, and Donald Trump gets no say. Sorry, that’s not how it’s ever worked and that’s not– fair Americans will right through that.”
Sean Hannity, during a segment on his Fox News program, vehemently criticized the upcoming debates, advocating for alterations such as banning notes and teleprompters, which were part of the agreed-upon format by Trump.
"Hannity went on to criticize CNN’s Jake Tapper," the report continued. "It can’t work like that here," the host continued. "It’s bad enough he’s agreed to go on two liberal networks."
“I think you’re correct,” Lara Trump replied. “What Donald Trump has said is that he wants more debates.”
Lara Trump's doubts about fairness
Lara Trump expressed skepticism toward the fairness of the process, emphasizing that the odds perpetually seemed stacked against Donald Trump.
She further added, "It’s rigged so heavily in Joe Biden’s favor, but everything always is! You’ve got Hollywood against Donald Trump. You’ve got the music industry against Donald Trump. Mainstream media. Despite that and even the judicial system at this point, he is beating Joe Biden in every poll out there. It’s amazing to see. So, if Joe Biden shows up on June 27th and doesn’t come up with an excuse like he has to wash his hair or something, I have full confidence that Donald Trump will outperform him."

According to Mediaite, Initially, Biden and Trump were scheduled for three debates in 2020, but ultimately, they only participated in two. Following Trump's hospitalization due to Covid-19, the Commission on Presidential Debates proposed holding the second debate virtually. However, Trump declined to take part, leading to the cancellation of the event. Subsequently, Trump contested the election outcome, alleging without evidence that it was unfairly rigged against him, despite his eventual loss.
