WASHINGTON, DC: A meme comparing Kamala Harris in a purple suit to Lisa's presidential look in iconic animated show 'The Simpsons' has gone viral.

Notably, this is the second instance within one week where a reference from the cartoon show has been taken and compared to an incident in US politics. The earlier one was Donald Trump's assassination attempt.

Viral Simpsons meme compares Kamala Harris in purple suit to Lisa's presidential look

As President Joe Biden withdrew from the campaign and endorsed Harris to assume his place in the presidential contest, the meme went viral on Sunday, July 21, according to Daily Mail.

Notably, Harris wore a purple suit by Christopher John Rogers, shoes by Sergio Hudson, and a necklace by Wilfredo Rosado to Biden's inauguration on January 20, 2021.

Claudia Jordan, an actress and former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum, shared a side-by-side photo of Harris and Simpsons on social media platform X. She captioned it, "Not for nothing but the Simpsons already predicted this...."

Notably, the most recent prediction was included in an episode titled "Bart to the Future" that aired on March 19, 2000. In the story, the family goes to a Native American casino, where Bart, who is too young to join, is shown what it will look like 30 years in the future.

After Lisa wins the presidential election and is spotted donning the purple pantsuit, the rest of the family moves into the White House. The fact that Lisa's presidency follows Donald Trump's implicit one, which resulted in a huge loss, only serves to highlight the coincidences.

Over the past decade, as Trump has risen to political prominence and served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021, the episode has received a lot of attention.

Whereas, one mentioned, "They would have to completely rig the election for her to have any chance. She won't win."

A user also commented, "The Simpsons did it again" while one wrote, "The Simpsons is run by Nostradamus, always knowing."

A person also added, "Lisa isn’t Kamala. It’s Hillary" whereas one said, "If Trump loses this one it's time to hang it up."
