RENO, NEVADA: Former President Donald Trump became the target of fierce internet trolling as he bragged about being able to "do a lot" with a telephone during a campaign stop in Nevada on Sunday, December 17.

The 77-year-old front-runner for the GOP nomination was addressing a crowd of supporters in Reno when he stoked fears about migrants coming across the US-Mexico border and gave examples of what he would do to "save America."

During his address in Reno, he bizarrely bragged about his time in the White House, saying “I got a thing called a telephone. You can do a lot. With a telephone, you can do a lot. I did it with France. They were going to put taxes on American companies, big taxes.”

Trump’s comments came just a few days after Special Counsel Jack Smith indicated that he would use data mined from Trump's White House cell phone as prosecutorial evidence for the ex-president's federal election interference case.

Smith informed the judge in a court filing that he intended to bring "expert" witnesses who extracted and reviewed data copied from Trump’s phone, as well as a phone used by another unidentified individual in Trump’s orbit.

Donald Trump targets undocumented immigrants

In Nevada, Trump targeted undocumented immigrants as he promised to crack down on illegal immigration and restrict legal immigration if he were to be elected to a second four-year term in office.

“They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. When they do that, we got a lot of work to do. They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” Trump told the crowd at a rally in New Hampshire.

“That’s what they’ve done. They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America, not just in three or four countries that we think about, but all over the world. They’re coming into our country from Africa, from Asia, all over the world,” he continued.

The term "poisoning" was subsequently used once more by Trump in a post on his social media platform Truth Social, where he claimed that “illegal immigration is poisoning the blood of our nation. They’re coming from prisons, from mental institutions — from all over the world.”

Hitler coined the phrase "blood poisoning" in his manifesto 'Mein Kampf', which denounced immigration and racial mixing.

“All great cultures of the past perished only because the originally creative race died out from blood poisoning,” Hitler wrote, according to NBC News.

Internet slams Donald Trump for claim about telephone call

Trump’s remarks have garnered immense social media attention, with users trolling for bragging about being able 'to do a lot with telephone"

“So can the special counsel,” one user mocked. “He got impeached with that perfect telephone call,” a second user slammed.

“You can do a lot with a telephone. The DOJ was listening in on Russia's communications & low & behold, Trump, his Family & his Campaign people kept getting caught up in the conversations, so much so that Crossfire Hurricane came to be. So yeah, you can do a lot with a telephone,” another person fumed.

“Yes he could do a lot with his phone and Jack has all the data from it,” trolled another person while a fifth said, “Since he found out Jack Smith has his phone records from J6, he's got phones on the mind.”

“I can think of something he can do with his phone. I'm fact, he may be doing it a lot if he ends up in jail. Hope it's not XL,” one more wrote.
