LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent appearance on 'The Tonight Show' in New York, Sofia Vergara, the former 'Modern Family' star, delighted the audience with anecdotes from her experience working on a film based on the life of Griselda Blanco, the notorious Colombian drug trafficker known as the 'Godmother of Cocaine' in the '70s and '80s.

During the interview with host Jimmy Fallon, Vergara expressed her enthusiasm for the project, particularly highlighting the majority of Latin American actors in the cast.

Sofia's unconventional on-set lessons and hilarious confession

She praised director Andres Baiz for his openness and guidance in helping her immerse herself in the character. However, things took an unexpected turn when she humorously shared some unconventional skills she acquired for the role.

“I didn’t know anything,” Vergara admitted to Fallon. “He taught me how to smoke. He taught me how to do cocaine. He taught me a lot,” she continued, eliciting laughter from the audience, though Fallon's expression showed evident concern.

Fallon quickly interjected, saying, “Alright, hold on, hold on.”

Vergara, with her trademark charm, continued her story, explaining, “It was amazing because I was 51 years old, and I didn’t even know how to, you know, how to light a cigarette. I’ve never done cocaine. So it’s like, it was amazing. It was like a great experience.”

However, realizing the potential misunderstanding, Vergara humorously backtracked, saying, “No, no!” while laughing. She clarified, “The cocaine that I did was fake. But I had to pretend. The cigarettes are also fake. Everything was, it’s fake.”

The well-timed revelation, which appeared to be part of the comedic script, endeared Vergara to both the live audience and viewers at home.

Accent banter: Vergara's playful exchange on 'El Hormiguero' and a spirited defense

This light-hearted moment comes on the heels of a recent incident on the popular Spanish talk show, 'El Hormiguero', where Vergara's accent became a topic of discussion. Host Pablo Motos playfully interrupted her, asking, "How do you say Modern Family?"

Defending her accent, Vergara responded, "I say it wrong? Oh, because you speak better English than me? Ah," before playfully reminding Motos of her achievements, saying, "How many Emmy nominations do you have in the United States? How many times did they nominate you at the Golden Globes?"

Sofia Vergara's accidental revelation about her on-set experiences added a surprising twist to her interview on 'The Tonight Show', showcasing her ability to navigate unexpected situations with humor and grace.

“We all know it from her screaming all the time and always talking loud  after All she is Columbian,” said a comment.

“She seems like a party girl, clearly shes not finished," said a user.

One said, “I hope I look like her at 51.”

“I'll bet it wasn't stepped on," said another.
