LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Retired couple Reed and America Bible continue to maintain their faith in President Joe Biden.

Despite his dismal June 27 debate performance, an underwhelming July 5 ABC News interview, and several campaign mishaps, the Bibles—a former supervisory immigration officer and a former real estate agent—remain steadfast in their support for the 81-year-old incumbent in the key battleground state.

Staunch Joe Biden supporters continue to rally behind him despite concerns over age and mental acuity

"I am looking at the past performance of Joe Biden," said Reed 70, while attending a Biden campaign-sponsored watch party for the Colombia-Panama Copa America match on Saturday, July 6. A press assistant for the campaign attended and recorded all of the interviews, as per the New York Post.

About three dozen supporters attended the event, which was held in a Los Cucos Mexican chain restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reed further stated, "I recognize that people are questioning his mental acumen. I am very willing to take a chance on his ability to continue the job he’s doing."

The retiree, who resides in a state that last favored a Republican president two decades ago but is considered highly competitive in the current election cycle, dismissed worries that Biden's cognitive abilities might deteriorate further should he win and serve until the age of 85.

He remarked, "That’s what we’ve got a vice president for. So I’m not worried; we’ve got back-up."

"I like Joe Biden — I know what he has done," noted Reed's wife, who said her age is "70 plus." She added, "In my opinion, age is wisdom. I have known people in their hundreds that have lived a lifetime of history, and they’re sharp tools, the sharpest tools in the shed."

Democrat voters say it's tough to accept anyone supporting Donald Trump

When asked if she believed Biden was "one of those sharpest tools" during the CNN debate, America acknowledged, "No, he wasn’t," adding, "But he’s human; I think people forget that. I think he just made it to the debate. He has been flying all over the world."

The president reportedly returned from an overseas trip 11 days prior to the debate and spent the subsequent six days at Camp David with advisors in preparation. America said that it is tough to accept anyone supporting Donald Trump, despite Biden's struggles.

She expressed, "What I find annoying or kind of upsetting is, I know people who are intelligent, educated, yet they support [Trump]. They support a liar."

Leticia Ochoa, 52, who owns a housekeeping business, shared she voted for Biden in 2020, which was her first time casting a US presidential ballot. She plans to vote for him this time around.

"I like him. I like how [Democrats] treat our people, our Latin people, our community. I love how they treat us. I’m totally for them," said Ochoa.

She was "not at all concerned" regarding Biden following the debate. "I think the team [is] gonna watch his back … the Congress and the Democrats," remarked Ochoa.

Having said that, she did acknowledge that "some" of her friends and colleagues intend to vote for Trump in this election cycle.

Biden's performance in the debate "doesn't matter" to Nicole Hines, a 67-year-old Las Vegas realtor and vice president of the North Las Vegas Democratic Club, because "Kamala is there to take over if something happens to him."

"I’m perfectly comfortable with Kamala. I believe in the administration," said Hines.

Internet ridicules Vegas Democrats who continue to support President Joe Biden

Soon after the thoughts of staunch Biden supporters came to light, a few netizens, especially Trump supporters, mocked them for their decision to stick with the incumbent.

One wrote, "They better be careful. Voting has consequences," and another said, "Get ready to pay up losers."

"You can’t fix stupid," remarked a person. Someone else fumed, "Morons born everyday! So makes sense. Smart folks who love America will vote Trump!"
