WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden, 81, receives meticulous instructions from his staff, which include large print and photos of venue interiors along with his planned path of entry, ahead of events.

The revelation, reported by Axios on Sunday, July 7, raises questions about the president’s fitness for office, especially following his poor performance in a recent debate against former President Donald Trump.

Detailed guidance for Joe Biden includes instructions on how to enter and exit

Documents obtained by Axios reveal that President Biden’s staff guides him through events, including the specific path he should take to the podium. The detailed assistance is intended to help him navigate his appearances smoothly.

One anonymous staffer, who had worked on a Biden event in the last 18 months, expressed surprise at the level of detail provided to the seasoned political figure.

"It surprised me that a seasoned political pro like the president would need detailed verbal and visual instructions on how to enter and exit a room," the staffer said.

The staffer, who worked at a seemingly simple fundraiser, described the thoroughness of the preparation: "I staffed a simple fundraiser at a private residence, but they treated it like it was a NATO summit with his movements."

This level of detailed guidance is part of what’s known as “advance work,” where event staffers are given a template to follow when preparing for the president’s arrival.

The templates reportedly include large photos of the event space on each page with prominent text such as “View from podium” and “View from audience.” Two pages specifically feature photos with the caption “Walk to the podium” to ensure the president’s path is clear and well-documented.

Despite the specificity, a White House spokesperson downplayed the significance of these instructions, explaining to Axios that such details are crucial for any presidential advance work, regardless of the president.

"High levels of detail and precision are critical to presidential advance work — regardless of who is president — and these are basic approaches that are used by any modern advance team, including the vice president’s office and agencies," the spokesperson stated.

A spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris supported the White House’s stance, emphasizing that these documents are standard logistical briefing materials for any principal, including the vice president.

"These documents are standard logistical briefing materials and photos for any principal, including the vice president," the spokesperson said.

The news coincided with calls from senior House Democrats urging President Biden to end his reelection bid during a private call with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Despite some concerns within the Democratic Party, Biden remains resolute in his decision to run for a second term, the New York Post reported.

Biden’s reliance on detailed instructions has previously sparked controversy. In April, while pitching for a second term at a trade union conference in Washington, DC, Biden appeared to read speaking instructions from a teleprompter.

"I see an America, where we protect freedoms, not take them away. I see an economy that grows a lot in the bottom up where the wealthy pay their fair share, so we can have child care, paid leave and so much more, and still reduce the federal deficit and increase economic growth," he said. "Imagine what we could do next. Four more years, pause."

Biden laughed off the mistake as the audience chanted "four more years."

Then, in the same month, Biden mistakenly credited former President Trump with proving the Biden administration couldn’t be trusted. "In a sense, I don't know why we're surprised by Trump," Biden said. "How many times does he have to prove we can't be trusted?"

He also bizarrely claimed to be in the 20th century while discussing Arizona’s near-universal abortion ban, before correcting himself to the 21st century, per The National Desk.

Joe Biden slammed as report on detailed instructions for events released

That said, the revelation about Biden’s large print instructions led to a flurry of reactions on social media, with many mocking the commander-in-chief.

"This is ridiculous already," one posted on X.

"Pathetic," another wrote.

"This should put the fear of God into our enemies," someone else quipped.

"He still can’t follow that. The bar is low to 'lead the free world.' 0% shot he can run a cash register at McDonald’s for $10," a comment read.

"Maybe cartoons would be better !!!" another joked.
