'Somebody knows something': Savannah begs for answers about mother as note declares her dead
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Months continue to pass, and NBC News host Savannah Guthrie continues to search for more information about her mother, but any credible information about Nancy Guthrie remains elusive.
In the latest development in the abduction of the 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, a second ransom note claimed that she had died, leading Savannah Guthrie to plead with viewers to come forward with any new information.
Savannah Guthrie urges public to come forward
The 'Today' show co-host on Tuesday, June 23, made a personal appeal after investigators suggested that one of the ransom notes sent to her family declared her mother dead.
"I just want to take the opportunity to ask people, to really to beg people to come forward. Somebody knows something. This is a new story today that is on your radar, but this is the life that my sister lives, I live, my brother lives, our extended families live, our children live every day. We are in agony," Savannah Guthrie said.
It has been over four months since Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her home in the Catalina Foothills north of Tucson in early February.
"We cannot be at peace, no matter how much I try to come out here every day and smile and find that joy, and I will, I promise I will. This is the moment to tell you that we need your help. We’re begging for your help," she added.
Savannah further reiterated that she is not going to miss any opportunity to find even a small piece of information about her mother.
“I’m not going to miss that opportunity. And so please, if you’re watching, no matter how small the reward is, you can tell us," Savannah Guthrie added.
