LONDON, ENGLAND: Can there be a reconciliation among the former ‘Fab Four’ millennial royals of the United Kingdom?

If sources are to be believed, Catherine, Princess of Wales, who is recuperating from a serious abdominal surgery, is willing to “reciprocate” if the Sussexes make an effort to reach out.

Catherine, Princess of Wales has been labeled a ‘peacemaker’

Catherine, Princess of Wales has been labeled a “peacemaker” by her close friends, per OK! Magazine

A source close to the 42-year-old princess, recently shared with the outlet that, "Health problems do tend to put everything else in perspective.”

The mutual friend of Kate and the Sussexes shared, “If Harry and Meghan have made an effort to reach out to Kate to offer their best wishes, Kate will reciprocate.”

The confidant added, though, "William would quite happily never speak to either of them again, but Kate’s a peacemaker at heart.”

Terming Kate as a peacemaker, the common friend added, “She would definitely be open to using this situation to build bridges. Never waste a good crisis, right?"

The source also commented on the special bond between Prince Harry and Kate, saying, "You have to remember that Kate and Harry were exceptionally close.”

They continued, “He adored her, and she provided a sense of stability after the chaos of his youth. I actually can’t imagine a world in which he wouldn’t have sent her a note, despite everything."

Source claims that the royal family has had enough of the feud

The confidant spilled that the royal family has allegedly had enough of the feud narrative, saying, "Everyone in the family has, frankly, had enough of the whole feud narrative. It’s way past time the whole thing was put to bed.”

They remarked quite pragmatically that while it may prove to be difficult to put everything behind, at least the feud can be put to rest.

They said, “Trust has been damaged, and I don’t think they are ever going to be calling each other for a heart-to-heart like the old days, but it’s time to move on."

Royal commentator Jennie Bond says reconciliation not yet on the cards

While the mutual friend of the Sussexes and Kate says reconciliation can be hastened if Harry and Meghan Markle offer the olive branch during the Princess's health crisis, veteran royal commentator Jennie Bond observed in September 2023, "There is no way back for the brothers. I just can’t see it."

Bond explained, "Because of these entrenched positions and the fact Harry has visited the UK without either of them, as far as we know, lifting a finger to phone or text or meet up, I really can’t see them mending the rift any time soon," per The Royal Observer.

The royal expert added, "William is hurt so deeply that I think he probably just blanks Harry out of his mind most of the time. He has moved on with his life, and I guess so has Harry."
