WASHINGTON, DC: Horror author Stephen King launched a sharp attack on President Donald Trump, calling him “idiotic” in a series of blunt social media posts that quickly circulated online.

Known for crafting some of the most chilling stories in modern fiction, King invoked his own literary legacy while expressing frustration with Trump’s leadership and recent political developments.

Stephen King criticizes Trump’s leadership and Cabinet decisions

King didn’t stop at personal criticism. He also took aim at Trump’s leadership decisions, particularly recent turnover within the administration.

In a recent post on X, King wrote, “Trump is so idiotic it is beyond description even for the guy who wrote PET SEMATARY and MISERY.”

“I can’t even.”

“Two dumb Cabinet members are gone,” King wrote, before adding a pointed follow-up: “How about replacing the dumbbell who appointed them?”

It appeared that King was referring to recent exits such as Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi from Trump’s Cabinet that had sparked discussions about stability and decisiveness in the administration.

Critics have pointed out that recurring turnover reflects deeper leadership issues, while supporters argue the changes demonstrate flexibility in the administration.

King’s remarks were consistent with his long-standing political commentary.

Stephen King questions Trump’s claims about Iran talks

The author also expressed skepticism about Trump’s statements regarding negotiations with Iran, suggesting the president’s claims should be treated cautiously.

“If you believe that Trump is telling the truth about serious talks with Iran, I’m sorry for you,” King wrote, casting doubt on the administration’s portrayal of diplomatic efforts.

The remarks came against the backdrop of increasing tensions surrounding America’s stance toward Iran, with conflicting reports circulating about whether meaningful talks were underway.

Despite statements from the administration indicating progress, doubts have been raised about the accuracy of those claims.

Often referred to as the “King of Horror,” King is widely known for his bestselling works spanning horror, suspense, crime, science fiction, fantasy, and mystery.
