WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump Jr slammed author Stephen King after he tweeted that President Donald Trump has never had a child. Ignoring Trump’s five children, King blamed what he called “TDS” for the alleged error.

The tweet quickly drew fire not only from Don Jr, but also from social media users who criticized King for attacking the president’s personal life.

Donald Trump Jr attacked Stephen King on X by sharing a screenshot of King’s post. He wrote, “Well, this is news to me…unless he means birthed a child,” adding, “Which would also hold true for every male ever,” and concluded, “TDS is real and it’s scary.” In the screenshot, Don Jr highlighted King’s line, “has never had a child,” with a bright red box.

In his post, King wrote, “Trump: has never had a child. Has been married 3 times. Ran several businesses into the ground. Never ran a home, couldn’t make a bed. Calls people he works with dumb, losers, etc. Has never done sweat labor. Has never served on a local committee.”

King added, “[He] has no life experience.”

King’s comments come as President Trump, a father of five now serving his second presidential term, prepares to address the nation Tuesday evening in the 2026 State of the Union, Congress’s report on his administration’s work.

Stephen King accused of copying anti-AOC post

Stephen King’s remarks echoed similar social media attacks on Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, a leading progressive in the House, on Saturday, February 21. An account called “Stacy is Right,” run by a self-described MAGA mother of three, criticized Ocasio-Cortez’s life and background.

The post mocked the Democrat for not having children, never marrying, never running a business, and never holding a “professional job.” “She has no real life experience. Is a typical deadbeat socialist,” Stacy is Right wrote. King reshared the post before publishing his own comments about Trump.

Matt Van Swol, a former Department of Energy nuclear scientist, responded on X: “You literally plagiarized an entire post…which was about AOC… and then applied it to Trump… for whom it isn’t true and doesn’t make any sense. Why are you plagiarizing? I thought you were a writer?”

Stephen King criticizes Trump and his policies after second term

This is not the first time Stephen King has used X to express his political views. Since President Donald Trump’s second term began, he has repeatedly criticized the president and his policies online.

In February 2025, King called Trump “a traitorous, Putin-loving” and added that it “goes double for Elon.”

Earlier this year, he compared ICE to Nazi Germany’s Gestapo, writing, “ICE is the American Gestapo.” In April, he said, “Trump is ruining the economy with his stupid tariffs.”

King has also criticized the administration for failing to release all Epstein files as required by law, arguing that public attention is being diverted from the matter despite clear legal obligations.
