He further said, “Today I am having surgery so all your prayers would be deeply appreciated thank you for being there for me it’s been a great ride, Romney has been by my side through all of this she is a good woman and I love her.”

Darrell Sheets’ ‘Storage Wars’ legacy and tributes from co-stars

Sheets was widely recognized for his role on Storage Wars, appearing in 163 episodes between 2010 and 2023. Known as “The Gambler” for his high-risk bidding style, he became a prominent figure on the show, which followed professional buyers competing for abandoned storage units.

“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our ‘Storage Wars’ family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” a spokesperson for A&E told People in a statement.

Following his television career, Sheets retired to Arizona, where he ran an antique store called “Havasu Show Me Your Junk.”
