Adele postpones Weekends with Adele Las Vegas residency

Adele—who is estimated to be making almost £1.5 million each show—is scheduled to conclude her residency at Caesars Palace's The Colosseum in June.

Adele revealed on Tuesday evening, February 27, that she will be postponing her Weekends with Adele residency in Las Vegas until March to recover from an undisclosed illness.

Announcing on Instagram, the singer said: "Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break."

"I hadn't quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I'm sick again, and unfortunately it's taken a toll on my voice."

Adele continued: "And so on Doctors orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weekens of this leg are being postponed to a later date."

"We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information asap."

"I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience x," she wrote in the caption.

Adele proceeded to enumerate the dates of her residence that would be delayed, encompassing each weekend in March. The postponed dates are March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30.

Adele announced over the weekend that she was taking a few days off from performing due to a vocal illness that occurred during her Las Vegas residency.

A tensed and emotional Adele claimed to have voice issues that caused her to sound like 'The Little Mermaid's villainous cartoon character Ursula.

The final round of Weekends With Adele performances at Caesars Palace's Colosseum kicked off on January 19 and continues through June 15, per Billboard.

'Weekends with Adele' was initially intended to begin in January 2022

Adele's Weekends with Adele residency at Caesars Palace's Colosseum was originally slated to begin in January 2022.

However, she disclosed the day before the residency started that she had to delay the commencement of the programs because of production setbacks and the fact that many members of her staff were afflicted with Covid-19.

She revealed the new dates in July of that year; they were originally planned to start in November 2022 and go through March of 2023, per Variety.

Adele disclosed at the conclusion of the residency that a second phase would occur in June and November of 2023. She then added 32 more dates to the residency in October, extending it until June 2024.
