Adele calls Rich Paul ‘a proper man’
During her acceptance speech, Adele said, “I actually have many men in my life who I love and who love me, but in the spirit of this morning and in fear of bras being burned, I'm gonna thank their mothers and not them.”
Referring to Paul’s mother, Minerva Martin, she continued, “I would like to thank Minerva Martin. Thank you to them for raising [a] good man who [does] not think that a woman's power diminishes their own.”

Rich Paul is thankful to his father
This happened after in October the CEO of Klutch Sports Group spoke with PEOPLE before the release of his book – ‘Lucky Me: A Memoir of Changing the Odds’.
He shared his childhood experience of living with a drug addict mother as he said, “I had built up this wall as a young kid to just have the understanding to move forward and know that she’s not going to be there. Like, Mom is not coming home.”
However, the 41-year-old sports agent had happy memories with his father, Rich Paul. Sr.

Paul told the publication, “I had a great example of who a man should be and what a man should do."
“I had a front-row seat to what work ethic was like, what perseverance was like. I watched my dad play air traffic controller in a community that was a war mixed with a tornado, but also a picnic at times.”
“He was my hero in that regard,” he claimed.
At the time, Paul also revealed what readers can expect from his memoir.
He stated, “When you read the book, you get to dive into a lot of the things that I had to overcome.”

“But hence the title of Lucky Me. I was lucky enough to be able to continue down a path where there wasn't a ton of light, but the door was cracked with a little light and I was smart enough not to invest in the pitfalls that were there for me every day in my environment,” Paul added.
