NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Niecy Nash-Betts has shared new details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's highly private July 3 wedding, revealing the strict measures the couple took to protect their celebration from public attention.

The actress, who attended the wedding with her wife Jessica Betts, said guests had to follow unusual privacy rules, including placing their phones in locked 'glass cases' before the event. Nash-Betts described the celebration as "top secret" and praised the couple for creating a memorable experience while keeping personal moments private.

During an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', guest host Colman Domingo said he was surprised to learn that Nash-Betts had attended the wedding. The actress explained that guests were not allowed to share any details about the event beforehand.

“Okay, listen! Because you know, you’re under embargo. It was a top secret. You couldn’t tell anybody,” Nash-Betts said.

Now that the wedding is over, the actress said she could finally talk about the celebration, calling it simply: “So good.”

Nash-Betts revealed that the reception included games where guests could win raffle tickets and enter prize drawings.

“They had a lot of games. You could play a game, and when you get a ticket for the game you play, you put it in a bucket and figure out if you can win the prizes that they gave away at the end."

"So that part was lovely,” she continued. “I don’t think I’m speaking out of school because y’all seen it all online now, right?”

The actress also shared how Swift and Kelce ensured guests did not capture private moments from the wedding.

“But at the time, you had to zip the lip,” said Nash-Betts. “They took your phone, they put it in a glass case. It was crazy."

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kept wedding details under wraps

On July 4, Nash-Betts shared a short video from the celebration and wrote, "The Betts pulled up to the Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift wedding . #swipe A time was had! The love in the room was palpable

Wowwwwwww is the best way to describe it. From beginning to end no detail was spared! Congrats! @killatrav @taylorswift". Welcome to the club!"

Swift and Kelce's wedding has continued to generate attention as guests gradually share details after the event. Nash-Betts' comments offered one of the clearest glimpses into the efforts made to maintain privacy throughout the celebration.

Reports also claimed that staff, security personnel and police officers working at the event were not allowed to use their phones. No photographers were permitted inside the wedding.

Despite reports of nearly 1,000 guests attending, no verified wedding photos of the couple have surfaced. While AI-generated images have circulated online, neither Swift nor Kelce has released official wedding pictures.

The couple reportedly also required guests to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and complete two-factor authentication before receiving watermarked digital invitations. Venue details were kept private until the morning of the wedding.
