NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene blamed Democrats for allowing illegal immigrants to be in the United States without vaccination in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, March 15.

In response to a CBS report on a measles outbreak in Chicago, Illinois, the US Representative for Georgia expressed her perspective. The outbreak was linked to the largest migrant shelter in Pilsen, prompting the city to intensify vaccination efforts.

The report noted that "at least two migrant children who attend Chicago Public Schools" were among those affected.

The publication shared that while students are typically mandated to be vaccinated for enrollment in schools in the state, this requirement does not extend to asylum seekers.

In the midst of the ongoing outbreak, Mayor Brandon Johnson has highlighted a recent achievement of a 100% vaccination rate at the intake center.

Taking to the social media platform, Greene retweeted a post containing a single line from the CBS article that read, "While students typically are required to be vaccinated to enroll in school in Illinois, asylum seekers can be exempted from vaccination."

"So the same people that forced you to be vaccinated to keep your job also force your children to be vaccinated, but have let in over 10 million illegals and do not require them to be vaccinated," wrote the Congresswoman in her post.

"Oh and by the way, you pay for this. Thank the Democrats," she added.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Netizens expressed dissatisfaction with solely attributing blame to the Democrats, as evidenced by the following tweets.

"We can honestly tell MTG 'Thanks For Nothing!'" wrote a user.

"The U.S. Government hates us and yet Speaker Johnson continues to fund the Biden regime. You can’t complain about the government and then continue to bankroll them. Republicans in Congress are as much a part of the problem as Democrats," stated another.

"Right up to the democrat part. You republicans are just as complicit. Stop it," echoed a user. [sic]

"I could have swore we sent people to DC to fix this problem and not be a part of it?" expressed another user. [sic]

"I’m so sick of each party blaming each other for everything. Both parties are responsible," commented another user.
