LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent episode, 'The Daily Show' pointed out similarities between the White House's rejection of reports of a Parkinson's checkup for Joe Biden and Donald Trump's apparent ignorance of Project 2025.

Co-hosts Desi Lydic and Jordan Klepper criticized both candidates for their dismissive responses to public concerns.

'The Daily Show' mocks Trump's denial of involvement in Project 2025

Describing Donald Trump's claim of ignorance regarding Project 2025—a conservative fantasy blueprint for his potential second term—Lydic commented, "Project 2025 is a 900-page blueprint envisioning Donald Trump’s second term. It’s essentially conservative fan fiction that could feasibly materialize."

Despite the project's ties to Trump's team, he denied any knowledge on his Truth Social page. Lydic and Klepper expressed skepticism, with Lydic humorously likening Trump's response to "a disabled veteran requesting a selfie."

“The people behind Project 2025 were some of Donald Trump’s top aides, but apparently it's getting a little too controversial for Trump now because he’s running away from it like a disabled veteran who wants a selfie,” Lydic noted.

“Every tweet is like a Cheesecake Factory menu, you know? There’s something for everybody. And he doesn’t mind if it’s full of contradictions,” Klepper joked.

'The Daily Show' lampoons White House responses to Biden's health concerns

When discussing Joe Biden, concerns about his ability to serve another term were raised after reports surfaced that a doctor specializing in Parkinson's disease made frequent visits to the White House.

“It just makes it look like you’re hiding something. It almost would have been better to just make something up, like, ‘Joe and Jill and Dr Parkinsons are in a throuple.’ I mean, do you want the youth to vote or not?” Lydic joked.

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to confirm specifics, leading to humorous suggestions from Lydic about potential cover stories, such as Biden being in a "throuple" with his doctor.

The segment also included comedian Michael Kosta, playing the role of a White House analyst, who defended media scrutiny of health issues and stressed the importance of transparency.

“The White House can’t drop concerning information and then be angry when the media tries to report on it,” Lydic said to Kosta, who replied, “Biden’s fine, but even if he isn’t, which he is, the White House has a great medical staff with lots of spare organs.”
