LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The hosts of 'The View' were outspoken in their criticism of Donald Trump’s “lame” jokes during the Al Smith Dinner on Friday’s episode, describing his humor as “awkward” and “not landing.”

Co-host Ana Navarro expressed her disapproval of Trump’s presence at the annual white-tie event for Catholic charities in New York City. “To have Donald Trump sitting there and we are pretending that he is some sort of upstanding citizen—I find that rather offensive,” she stated.

Sunny Hostin critiques Trump's presence at Al Smith dinner, calls him incompatible with catholic values

Sunny Hostin chimed in, saying, “That is not a person I think should be normalized by the Catholic Church,” noting that Trump “stands against everything and flies in the face of everything that a Catholic believes and holds dear.”

She added, “It’s a tradition to have both presidential candidates come to this particular dinner, but sometimes there’s a time to break tradition. You can’t have a felon, a liar, a serial cheater [at a Catholic event].”

Hostin also referenced Trump’s marriage to Melania, mentioning his alleged infidelity with Stormy Daniels while she was pregnant.

Former Trump White House official Alyssa Farah Griffin remarked that, beyond the optics of Trump’s attendance, his jokes simply “didn’t land,” calling the situation “very awkward.”

Joy Behar weighs in, calling Trump a 'felon, a liar, and a traitor'

Joy Behar contributed her own take on the event, humorously stating, “A felon, a liar, and a traitor walk into a Catholic event—that’s the joke,” after a clip of Trump’s remarks was shown.

Behar also suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris should have attended the dinner instead of campaigning, but Navarro disagreed, praising Harris for handling MAGA hecklers at a rally in Wisconsin. “I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street,” Harris had quipped.

The hosts found amusement in Trump’s comments about their “stupid show” during the dinner, where he insulted their ratings and expressed a wish for Rosie O’Donnell to return. Hostin remarked on enjoying the fact that Trump has acknowledged watching the show multiple times: “I enjoy living rent-free in his head. Thank you, Donald, hi!”

One user added, "Because evangelicals have given Trump every reason to think that the more contempt he shows for religious people, the more loyal they will be to him..."

"The View melting down over Trump. This isn't a news story, this is everyday for The View. And everyday for the triggered Liberals with TDS", One replied.

One person added, "Trump was hilarious. Even the democrats were eating out of his hand. The View cows are just bitter and resentful, mostly about their looks."
