Tom Cruise calls Taylor Swift ‘absolutely brilliant’ and reveals if he’d work with her in future

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise has recently praised Taylor Swift and expressed his desire to work with her. The A-list actor called the pop icon “absolutely brilliant” during a media appearance promoting his film ‘Digger’.

When a reporter asked Cruise, “If Taylor Swift called and asked you to be in a music video what would the answer be?”, the 64-year-old star replied, “You know first of all I make movies, let’s go make a movie. I think she’s such a talented in anything she does. She's absolutely brilliant; she's a brilliant writer.”

Continuing, the ‘Top Gun’ actor said, “Her ability to, you know, we were talking about it, and I was like, if she ever decided to direct, she could be a director of feature films. I know she does her videos, and she does a beautiful job, so it would be amazing to work with her on anything.”

Cruise also praised Travis Kelce and Swift’s family, adding, “I respect her and her family and her husband. They're very magical.”

However, this was not the first time the film producer praised the ‘Cruel Summer’ hitmaker.

During his September 17 appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Cruise opened up about his experience watching the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Denver Broncos with Swift.

Cruise told Fallon, “She was schooling me on football, for real. She knows her stuff.”

The Hollywood icon also said that “everybody there [at the game], all their friends – they're a beautiful couple and magical in their own right.”

Further into the interview, Cruise commented on the Grammy winner’s talents, calling her a “brilliant musician and director.” “She's a genius. I've been following her since she was a kid,” he added.

The recipient of the Honorary Palme d'Or also discussed his interaction with Swift during the September 14 game while appearing on Travis Kelce’s podcast, ‘New Heights’.

On September 18, Cruise told the NFL star and his elder brother, Jason Kelce, “She was telling me about y'all's first date, where you were talking about football. But also, she [asked about] you two playing against, like, hitting each other?”

Travis revealed that Swift initially did not know much about football but now “she knows everything”.

“She sees the flags coming in, like, 'Oh, that might be a defensive hold.' Like, 'What'd you say, sweetie?' She's like, 'That's encroachment.' I'm like, 'You know what that is?' She's on it now. She got fully engulfed in it,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end added.
