Tom Holland admits getting sober was 'a tricky road' but it helped him identify his 'real friends'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Holland addressed the topic of sobriety and revealed how it has impacted him and changed his life.
The 'Spider-Man' star, who will mark three years of being alcohol-free in January, recently shared how his journey to sobriety has not only improved his lifestyle but also strengthened his relationship with friends and family.

During a recent appearance on 'Good Morning America', Tom Holland discussed how his decision to quit drinking has helped him navigate his personal and professional life in a better way.
One of the highlights of Holland's sober life is how it has transformed his mornings.
"One of my favorite things about my sober life is the 9 am tee time with all my friends where I'm fresh as a daisy and I'm dragging them on to the tee box," Tom said.
"I love it. It's been fantastic," he added.
In addition to excelling at golf, Holland revealed that sobriety has taught him much more about his capabilities.
"One of the biggest things I learned after getting sober was how much I could handle and how more capable I am in certain situations," he shared.

Tom Holland noted that being on busy and stressful sets used to affect him more, but now he takes things in stride.
"Since getting sober, I can really take it in my stride and get on with it and just enjoy everything about my day," Tom said during the interview.
Holland, who has been in a public relationship with Zendaya since 2021, credits his close friends and family for helping him stay on track with his sobriety.
He thanked them for "showing an overwhelming sense of support."
Reflecting on the impact of his decision to quit drinking, Holland realized who his true friends were.
"I really realized who my real friends were," he continued, adding "I realized I had a lot of friends that the only thing I had in common was that I really liked drinking."
Holland discovered that enjoying nightlife experiences without the pressure of alcohol was "a really beautiful experience."

Besides sharing his personal growth, Tom Holland also gave fans something to look forward to.
During an appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' on Tuesday, October 22, Holland confirmed that his fourth 'Spider-Man' movie is in the works.
“Next summer, we start shooting. Everything’s good to go — we’re nearly there,” Holland said.
“Super exciting. I can’t wait!” he said during the show, according to Variety.
Tom Holland debuted as Spider-Man in 2016's 'Captain America: Civil War,' followed by three solo films: 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' (2017), 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' (2019), and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (2021).
He also portrayed the character and his alter ego, Peter Parker, in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame.'
