WASHINGTON, DC: Tomi Lahren has urged former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party to stop scrutinizing Vice President Kamala Harris's race and instead concentrate on her political record if they aim to secure victory in the 2024 election.

During an appearance on 'Hannity' this Friday, Lahren was asked by host Sean Hannity about the best approach to countering Harris's influence ahead of the November election.

Trump sparks controversy over Harris’ racial identity

Lahren emphasized that debating Harris' race is a counterproductive strategy.

Trump stirred controversy earlier this week when he questioned Harris's racial identity during a discussion with the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago.

"I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?" Trump remarked, which received widespread criticism.

Lahren advised Trump to avoid such divisive commentary in the future. "She is a California, radical liberal and that will be the most effective strategy the Trump campaign and Republicans can take against Kamala Harris," Lahren stated.

She further explained, “Kamala Harris would have never made it through the primary process. She didn’t lead up to her run in 2020 that failed miserably. This was done by design to run out the clock and swap out [Biden] at the last possible minute and hope the honeymoon period for Kamala could last all the way until early voting.”

Lahren criticizes Democratic strategy and urges Trump to focus on Harris’ policies rather than her race

Lahren criticized the Democrats for their strategic maneuvering and advised Trump to focus on Harris’s policy positions rather than her racial identity.

“Stop talking about what her race is, stop talking about if she’s Indian or Black. Nobody cares if she’s Indian, Black, or a space Martian. Talk about her radical agenda. Do not get course on that messaging because that messaging will work and the Trump campaign can bend the ears of the American people and reinforce it. He just has to stay on that path.”

Hannity agreed with Lahren’s assessment, stating, “I completely agree with you. I think this election should be about Kamala, her radicalism. I think she’s radical, extreme, and frankly, her policies – especially foreign policy – is dangerous. Her border policy is dangerous.”

Public reactions to Tomi Lahren's take on Trump attacking Harris' race

Public reactions to the controversy surrounding Donald Trump's comments on Kamala Harris’ racial identity have been diverse.

One user wrote, "Republicans have said enough for all Americans to know who they truly are. It’s over for them. #Kamala4President2024."

Another user commented, "Holy Crap, I agree with Tomi Lahren. (But lowkey I kinda hope they keep tanking their campaign by talking about kamalas race)"

One said, "Never in a million years did I ever think we’d agree on anything. Yet here we are."

Another wrote, "If even Tammy can see it then they should probably listen."

One user added, "We all know this by now that trump cannot help himself, and he will continue to speak about her race."

Another individual said, "Sounds like a game of "Guess Her Ethnicity" gone wrong."
