Travis Kelce reveals real reason he and Taylor Swift chose Madison Square Garden for wedding
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's luxurious yet private wedding has been the talk of the town even though two months have passed. But one question remains: Why did Madison Square Garden (MSG) become Swift and Kelce’s wedding venue?
Kelce finally revealed what made them choose MSG rather than the Rose Garden for their July 3 wedding.
The couple hosted their star-studded ceremony at the New York City arena, which was highly secured. No phones or electronic gadgets were allowed, so much so that none of the 1,000 invitees has shared photos from the wedding.

During the September 2 episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, Kelce explained that they both wanted a place that felt intimate.
“We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions.”
“We needed it to be a private feel. MSG went above and beyond to give us that. I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up but also that helped put the show on. It was a very magical, magical night,” he added.

“It was so cool to see everyone from my childhood not only mesh with Taylor, but [the people] from her childhood and her family and friends,” Kelce continued. “And people that she works with to people that we’ve encountered over the course of our career and who we just admire as people and have become good friends with now.”

Swift and Kelce said “I do” on July 3, following their engagement in 2025. Around 1,000 guests were invited. According to reports, the guests were required to sign NDAs. Invitees were allowed to share their own pictures, group selfies, and congratulatory posts for the couple.
However, they were not allowed to take any selfies with Swift and Kelce. They were also prohibited from discussing the wedding decor, seating arrangements, or even small details such as the wedding theme.

Swift and Kelce have not shared any official wedding pictures. However, it was revealed that they would eventually share photos, although no specific date was given.
Right after the wedding, hoardings across MSG featured “Just T&T Married” messages. Congratulations poured in for the newlyweds. From Selena Gomez and Bradley Cooper to Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg, everyone was present at Swift and Kelce's wedding.
