NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In less than nearly two weeks, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity moderated the “The Great Red v Blue State Debate” between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom and also hosted a Town hall in Iowa with former president Donald Trump.

In his latest appearance on Fox News, the Florida governor applauded Hannity for the debate, and also took the opportunity to put forth that he “would be game” to debate former South Carolina governor and fellow GOP candidate Nikki Haley, as well as Trump, who has not been a part of any Presidential debate in the current cycle.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis claims he is ‘game’ for more debates

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Governor of Florida and GOP presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis shared a brief clip of his appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity.

DeSantis wrote, “Sean Hannity held the most substantive debate of the cycle last month.”

He added, “If he wants to host a debate between Nikki Haley and me or Donald Trump and me, I’m game.”

In the clip, DeSantis said, “I don’t think we have spoken since that debate, and the reaction that I have gotten has been incredible in terms of obviously being able to show that freedom works and the California models of failure, what that means for the country.”

He continued, “But people appreciated the way you set it up and they said it was the most substantive debate that they had seen in this entire election cycle, and so kudos to you for doing it. I know you had challenged me and you asked me to do it, so I’m glad we were able to get that done.”

“Just know, if you want to do other debates, Nikki Haley and me, I’m in,” said DeSantis, before adding, “Donald Trump and me, I’m in, so just say the word. You’ve shown that you can do it in a way that really helps the voters. So I’m game.”

Internet reacts to Ron DeSantis’ remarks on ‘other debates’

After Ron DeSantis claimed he was “game” when it came to debating Nikki Haley or Donald Trump after he debated Gavin Newsom, the internet was quick to respond.

One user wrote, “Debating isn’t working for you,” while another said, “Ron, Trump has already won the Gold medal, no room on the podium for 2nd place. Close down your campaign and back Trump for the win against the Democrats.”

“Yeah, because you’ll do anything rather than actually govern the people of Florida! Fix the insurance crisis, Rob,” expressed one user, while another wrote, “Call Don and patch it up. Then drop out.”

DeSantis continued to face backlash on the social media platform as one user wrote, “The debates are unnecessary and take away from time needed to campaign.  You should step down, Ron.  The odds are against you, and you’re needed in Florida,” while another said, “Wake up and go home.”
