WASHINGTON, DC: A video of Donald Trump and Elon Musk has gone viral on the internet, showing the president helping the Tesla CEO take a phone call.

The video, posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, April 13, by Patriot Takes, showed the two along with Musk’s son, X Æ A-Xii, better known as Lil X, at the president's golf club, as per The List.

The commander-in-chief can be seen holding his phone up to Musk so that he could talk.

Later, he was also seen speaking on the phone. However, it was not clear who was on the other side of the call.

Internet says Donald Trump is putting on a 'reality show'

Elon Musk and Donald Trump were trolled on social media as the video went viral.

One wrote, “This is pathetic.”

Another posted, “Elon Musk and Donald Trump flaunt their alliance at a golf club, but their cozy phone call reeks of privilege. Musk's son is dragged into this spectacle, another example of billionaires prioritizing image over substance. Trump's 224 lbs claim is laughable; the real weight is their egos.”

“Freak show,” a person remarked.

“I’m just thankful not to be in that horrible room,” an individual wrote.

“It's Putin on the phone," a person quipped.

“Two grown men that can't get enough attention from the people in the room,” another tweet read.

One more wrote, “Trump is putting on a reality show for the people. Behind the scenes they are destroying the country and robbing it blind."

"What a s***show finding new disgusting bottom every day," a person fumed.

"Elon musk has trump on a very short leash! Owned by a billionaire or bromance?" a bewildered netizen asked.

Joe Walsh claimed Donald Trump and Elon Musk 'desperately need each other'

However, this was not the first time the MAGA leader and the DOGE leader had a cringeworthy moment.

In February 2025, the billionaire declared on X, "I love @realDonaldTrump as much as a straight man can love another man."

Joe Walsh, a former Republican representative and a Trump critic, had said about the duo, "They’re the two most powerful people on the planet right now. They desperately need each other," as reported by The Guardian.

"They’re in this for the long haul so people who think this thing’s going to bust up in a month or two are smoking something. We’re looking at four years of these two doing this. They are like two monsters and every day they’re growing stronger," Walsh added.
