AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN: Donald Trump appeared to doze off during his campaign event in Michigan's Oakland County on Friday, October 18, as per OK! Magazine.

Kamala Harris' campaign shared a video showing him falling asleep at the roundtable with the caption, "An exhausted Trump appears to be falling asleep during his campaign event."

The former president campaigned in a trio of traditionally Democratic-leaning Michigan cities to win over Arab American voters, as per The Detroit News.

Donald Trump promises Detroit a 'stunning rebirth'

During his rally at Huntington Place in Detroit, Donald Trump argued that bad economic policies had "decimated" Detroit "as if by a foreign army". He assured that there will be a "stunning rebirth" for the city if he gets elected as president in November.

The GOP nominee asserted, "This is the real comeback. This isn't artificial stuff."

Trump also called Harris "not a smart person" and boasted about his plans to use tariffs on products imported into the US to boost auto manufacturing in places like Michigan. Fawning over the word "tariff," he exclaimed, "I think it’s more beautiful than love, the word tariff."

Donald Trump cancels events and interviews citing exhaustion

Donald Trump recently canceled a streak of events and scheduled interviews, including ones with NBC News and CNBC News. His campaign cited reasons such as "scheduling conflicts" and the GOP nominee being really exhausted, according to Yahoo News.

Earlier this month, he withdrew from his planned appearance on CBS’s '60 Minutes' as his campaign disagreed with live fact-checking. The outlet added that despite the cancelations, Trump has been active in many events such as a campaign rally in Pennsylvania that turned into a musical fest and a Fox News town hall.

In a statement, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, "President Trump has been running laps around Kamala Harris on the campaign trail and has sat down for nearly three times as many interviews as she has. President Trump has more energy, and a harder work ethic, than anyone in politics."

Internet trolls Donald Trump as he appears to fall asleep during a Michigan press conference

Netizens were quick to ridicule Donald Trump over the video shared by Kamala Harris' campaign.

One wrote, "Donald is old, tired and disgusting," and another said, "He’s not tired! He’s just listening to those sweet sweet tunes in his head and swaying!" referencing the Pennsylvania rally where he danced for over half an hour.

"This man is not physically or mentally up to the grueling job that is the presidency," remarked a person, while someone else expressed, "So when are we dubbing the name Drowsy Don?"

"Hahahaha this is already driving him nuts and I love it," mentioned an individual. One more joked, "Usually, people at Trump events get bored & then leave early Did Trump quietly sneak out early too?"
