WASHINGTON, DC: President Trump has addressed questions surrounding his recent MRI scan, describing it as part of his routine physical.
Trump speaking to reporters on Air Force One insisted that the results were excellent and sought to dispel rumors about serious health concerns.
Donald Trump’s account of health assessment
Trump told reporters that he underwent the MRI “because it’s part of my physical”, adding “Getting an MRI is very standard. What, you think I shouldn’t have it? Other people get it… I had an MRI."
Describing the doctor’s reaction to the test, Trump said “the doctor said it was the best result he has ever seen as a doctor.”
Trump confirmed that the MRI took place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday, October 10.
The White House did not clarify which part of his body was scanned and he said, “I have no IDEA what they analyzed but whatever they analyzed, they analyzed it well. They had as good a result as they’ve ever seen!”
He also highlighted the results of his cognitive evaluation, saying, “I also took an advanced test on MENTAL acuity. As you probably heard, I ACED IT. Perfect score. The highest score. A perfect score. The only reason I tell you that, it’s one subject you can take off your plate!”
Donald Trump's MRI scan
The White House earlier declined to disclose specifics about the medical imaging, but reiterated that Trump is in excellent health.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “The full results were reviewed by attending radiologists and consultants, and all agreed that President Trump is in exceptional physical health.”
She continued, “Which I know all of you will see with your own eyes later this evening when he opens up his dinner to the press, and perhaps you will see him when he signs the bill to reopen the federal government. So stay tuned on plans for that,” she said.
Q: You recently said you'd check with President Trump about why he needed to get an MRI on his recent trip to Walter Reed. Do you have any more details?

Although Trump emphasized the MRI was routine, medical experts note that MRIs are generally not included in standard physical examinations and are typically ordered when detailed imaging of a specific area is required.
This was Trump’s second major medical visit to the facility this year, following a full physical in April.
The frequency of his examinations, combined with the decision to conduct advanced imaging, has fueled speculation that the trip may have involved more than routine testing.
Former White House physician Jeffrey Kuhlman raised questions about the timeline of Trump’s medical care, noting that basic tests can often be done at the White House, yet this visit to Walter Reed likely involved more extensive diagnostics given its duration.
