WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump just went scorched earth on the mainstream media.

After a series of brutal polls put his approval ratings in a slump, the real estate tycoon-turned-president wasn't impressed. On Monday, April 28, Trump unleashed a tirade on Truth Social, blasting news agencies and accusing them of being riddled with the “Trump Derangement Syndrome". He called for investigations into “fake news organizations” and alleged election fraud.

Donald Trump lashes out at 'fake' polls by 'fake' news organizations

According to Donald Trump, America doesn’t have a free press anymore.

He name-dropped multiple media giants and demanded they be investigated for “election fraud".

“Great Pollster John McLaughlin, one of the most highly respected in the industry, has just stated that The Failing New York Times Poll, and the ABC/Washington Post Poll, about a person named DONALD J. TRUMP, ME, are FAKE POLLS FROM FAKE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS,” Trump thundered in all-caps glory.

According to him, these polls are pure fiction. "The New York Times has only 37% Trump 2024 voters, and the ABC/Washington Post Poll has only 34% Trump Voters, unheard of numbers unless looking for a negative result, which they are. These people should be investigated for ELECTION FRAUD, and add in the FoxNews Pollster while you're at it," he raged.

Trump’s rant only escalated from there. “They are Negative Criminals who apologize to their subscribers and readers after I WIN ELECTIONS BIG, much bigger than their polls showed I would win, loose a lot of credibility, and then go on cheating and lying for the next cycle, only worse," he fumed.

“They suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, and there is nothing that anyone, or anything, can do about it. THEY ARE SICK, almost only write negative stories about me no matter how well I am doing (99.9% at the Border, BEST NUMBER EVER!), AND ARE TRULY THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! I wish them well, but will continue to fight to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN," Trump added.

The polls that sent Donald Trump into meltdown mode

As Donald Trump completes 100 days in office, voters have indicated they are not happy with the president’s performance so far.

According to a recent CNN/SSRS poll, Trump’s approval rating has dipped to a historic low—just 41%. That number is reportedly the “worst in 70 years” for any US President at this point in office.

Another poll from the ABC News, The Washington Post, and Ipsos pegged his approval at a paltry 39%, which marks a six-point drop since February. According to the pollsters, this is the lowest 100-day approval rating of any US president in 80 years.

Trump has been bulldozing through Washington since he resumed office in January for his second term.

He’s been governing with zero hesitation, signing executive orders like they’re autographs and rolling out reforms at breakneck speed. Whether it’s overhauling the federal government, reshaping foreign policy, or implementing mass deportations, Trump hasn’t taken his foot off the gas.

He even picked trade fights with 60 countries and global trading blocs, launching a now-halted tariff war that had economists clutching their pearls and foreign leaders hitting the panic button.

It's worth noting that Trump hits 100 days in office on Tuesday, April 29.
