Trump calls Jimmy Fallon 'most insecure man on TV’ in tirade after Jimmy Kimmel suspension

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Donald Trump escalated his criticisms of late-night television hosts this week, targeting Jimmy Fallon after taking aim at Jimmy Kimmel.
Trump’s remarks came in the wake of Kimmel’s indefinite suspension from ABC following controversial comments about Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer, Tyler Robinson.
Speaking to reporters and in interviews, Trump condemned both hosts for their perceived bias and lack of talent, citing Kimmel’s low ratings and Fallon’s “insecure” on-screen demeanor.

Trump slams Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel over talent and bias
During an interview on 'The Sunday Briefing' with Peter Doocy, Trump said, “When I look at Fallon, he’s the most insecure-looking person I’ve seen on television. And the other one, Colbert, who was just canceled, as you know, is just terrible. It’s 100% bad about Trump, they don’t say anything good.”
He further criticized Kimmel, saying, “When you look at these shows and see how untalented these people are, you could get people off the street to do a better job than Colbert, he’s terrible. He’s terrible…I don’t find it enjoyable. I don’t find him good.”

Trump also mocked Kimmel’s Academy Awards hosting, claiming he “did a terrible job” and adding, “There’s something wrong with the guy.”
Trump attributes Jimmy Kimmel suspension to ratings and reception
At the American Cornerstone Institute Founders’ Dinner in Mount Vernon on September 20, Trump said, “I think Jimmy Kimmel's terrible. You know what suspended him? His talent. Take a look at this guy, his ratings. That's what got Jimmy Kimmel out, he was terrible. Didn’t he lose... I saw a report where ABC lost millions of dollars with him, so that’s what suspended Jimmy Kimmel.”

Trump’s remarks reflect his ongoing attacks on perceived liberal bias in late-night television and his willingness to tie media controversies to ratings and financial losses.
ABC suspends 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' following controversy
Jimmy Kimmel’s show was pulled from its 11:35 p.m. slot on ABC on Wednesday, September 17, after his remarks about Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer during his September 15 broadcast.
He said, “The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Nexstar, ABC’s affiliate operator, condemned Kimmel’s comments, issuing a statement: “Nexstar strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets.”
