WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump said the Justice Department had “done its job” and called for an end to bipartisan demands for more disclosures in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

In a lengthy Truth Social post on Friday, September 5, the Republican leader accused Democrats of using the case for political advantage even as Republicans in the House have continued to push for additional transparency.

Trump slams Democrats for doing nothing while Epstein was alive

Donald Trump alleged that Democrats looked the other way during Jeffrey Epstein’s lifetime while maintaining close connections with him.

“The confused and badly failing Democrat Party did nothing about Jeffrey Epstein while he was alive except befriend him, socialize with him, travel to his Island, and take his money!” the president claimed.

He added, “They knew everything there was to know about Epstein, but now, years after his death, they, out of nowhere, are seeming to show such love and heartfelt concern for his victims. Does anybody really believe that?”

Trump says DOJ has fulfilled its obligations regarding Epstein case

According to Donald Trump, the Justice Department has already delivered everything required, and Democrats are only revisiting the case to distract from their struggles.

“The now dying (after the DOJ gave thousands of pages of documents in full compliance with a very comprehensive and exacting Subpoena from Congress!) Epstein case was only brought back to life by the Radical Left Democrats because they are doing so poorly, with the lowest poll numbers in the history of the Party (16%), while the Republicans are doing so well, among the highest approval numbers the Party has ever had!” Trump wrote.

He declared, “The Justice Department has done its job, they have given everything requested of them. It’s time to end the Democrat Epstein Hoax, and give the Republicans credit for the great, even legendary, job that they are doing.”

Survivors pledge to act on their own and release Epstein files

Despite Donald Trump’s words, survivors of Jeffrey Epstein have insisted the matter is far from over.

They said they intend to release names themselves if the administration fails to do so.

The survivors declared at a press conference, “Your time is up,” while rejecting Trump’s description of the case as a hoax, which he has repeatedly said.

Republican lawmakers have also stepped in. Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia suggested Trump meet with Epstein’s victims at the White House, while Rep Thomas Massie of Kentucky sponsored a discharge petition to compel the administration to release all the Epstein files.

Internet urges Trump to release Epstein files

Donald Trump’s stance triggered online debate, with many calling for the records to be made public without delay, while others urged him not to call it a "hoax."

“Trump and his people said they had all the documents and were going to release them earlier this year. Why would Trump and his people act like it was real back then?” one user posted on X.

Another wrote, “So just release it! Americans can handle anything and everything at this point. Set it free!”

Others questioned the mixed signals. “So why did you campaign to release the files?” one asked.

Some demanded accountability. “No Epstein case is finished until names drop and arrests happen. DOJ is pretending, but real JUSTICE means elites in prison jumpsuits,” a commenter wrote.

“Trump needs to realize that the only way this will ‘end’ is with full transparency. Otherwise, people will not let this one go,” another added.

Others remained skeptical. “They’ve been faking outrage for years while doing nothing, it’s all just a show,” one user wrote.

“No one is stopping the victims from naming their attackers so let them do it. I agree with that statement, just wish he would stop calling it a hoax,” another said.
