WASHINGTON, DC: A poll taken following President Donald Trump's decision to unleash "bunker buster" bombs on Iran's nuclear facilities revealed 56 percent of Americans disapproved of the POTUS' actions.

The CNN/SRS poll, taken two days after Trump's surprise decision to order the US military to get involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran, showed just 44 percent approve of the move, per the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, an overwhelming 58 percent majority think the military action will make Iran more of a threat to the US, as compared to 27 percent who said less, and 15 percent who said neither, per Daily Mail.

Interestingly, following the US air strike on Iran, the Middle Eastern country threatened to hit back, and the Islamic Republic fired missiles at a US base in Qatar, resulting in no casualties, as per the military, and after the POTUS said Iran provided warning.

Moreover, there were no US casualties during the air campaign, although analysts warned of the risks of attacks by Iranian proxies, per the outlet.

However, the poll numbers reveal the potential risks of an ongoing conflict – although Trump announced a ceasefire on Monday, June 23 night.

The POTUS told reporters on Tuesday, June 24, that it was holding after dressing down Israel, and called for the US ally to have its planes "turn around and head home".

Furthermore, Trump lavished praise on the US B-2 bomber pilots who flew their stealth aircraft from Missouri across the Atlantic to drop the bunker busters on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Meanwhile, it is still to be seen how much damage the bombs caused, and if Iran was able to protect a substantial amount of its enriched nuclear material, the outlet reported.

Interestingly, 88 percent of Democrats disapprove of the strikes, while 12 percent approved.

Similarly, 82 percent of Republicans approved, whereas 18 percent disapproved. Independents are split as 60 percent disapprove and 40 percent approve.

Iran fires missiles until last minute before Donald Trump's ceasefire

President Trump announced on Truth Social on Tuesday, June 24, that a ceasefire between Israel and Iran was now in effect, despite missile barrages still flying at the time.

The POTUS wrote, "THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!", after claiming a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE” had been locked in between the two rival nations.

However, just hours after Trump’s post, Israel’s military reported that at least six people were killed in fresh Iranian attacks early on June 24.

Moreover, the Israel Defense Forces said that multiple missile barrages were launched from Iran toward Israel, with explosions reported near Tel Aviv and Beersheba.

The New Daily reported that around eight others were injured in the blasts.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around."

"As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations," he added.

However, he went on to mention, "However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterward."
