WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump on Sunday, November 30, defended his remarks calling Minnesota Governor Tim Walz "seriously r*******" and said that there was "something wrong" with him.

The POTUS took a jab at Walz in a Thanksgiving message posted to Truth Social on Thursday, November 27, where he described the Governor as "seriously r*******."

Trump escalates attacks on Tim Walz over Somalia refugee policies

During a Q&A session with the POTUS on Air Force One on Sunday, a reporter asked, "You mentioned Tim Walz and you called him what many Americans do find an offensive word, ‘r*******.’ Do you stand by that claim of calling Tim Walz r*******?"

Trump replied, "Yeah, I think there’s something wrong with him. Absolutely. Sure. You have a problem with it? You know what? I think there’s something wrong with him."

He added, "Anybody that would do what he did, anybody that would allow those people into his state and pay billions of dollars out to Somalia– We give billions of dollars to Somalia. It’s not even a country because it doesn’t function like a country. It’s got a name but it doesn’t function like a country."

The president concluded, "Yeah, there’s something wrong with Walz." In a Truth Social post last Thursday, President Trump wrote, "Hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota. Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for ‘prey’ as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses hoping against hope that they will be left alone."

"The seriously r******* Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both," he added.

Tim Walz blasts Trump for ableist remark

Tim Walz took a jab at Donald Trump for calling him "seriously r*******" and said that he had normalized "hateful behavior" and insulting language. He also criticized Trump for "demonizing" the state’s Somali community.

During an appearance on NBC’s 'Meet the Press' on Sunday, Walz began his conversation with Kristen Welker by offering condolences to the families of Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe, members of the National Guard who were recently attacked in Washington, DC. The Governor then said that the POTUS insulting him was a "badge of honor."

"Donald Trump insulting me is a badge of honor. I think we all know using that term is just so damaging," Walz said on Sunday.

He added, "Kids know better than to use it, but this is what Donald Trump has done. He’s normalized this type of hateful behavior. First, it’s because he’s just not a good human being, but second, it’s to distract from his incompetency."

Moreover, Tim Walz also addressed Trump’s negative comments about the Somali community in Minnesota and urged him to stop.
