WASHINGTON, DC: Appearing on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press', on Sunday, November 30, Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz criticized Donald Trump’s use of a derogatory term.

The post in question was made on Truth Social on Thanksgiving, in which Trump called Walz “seriously r*******.”

Walz criticized Trump for it, claiming that he had normalized “hateful behavior” and insulting language. He also slammed Trump for “demonizing” the state’s Somali community.

Tim Walz calls Trump’s insult a ‘badge of honor’

Tim Walz began his conversation with Kristen Welker by sending his condolences to the families of Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe, members of the National Guard who had recently been attacked in Washington, DC.

He then told the news presenter that Donald Trump's insulting him was a “badge of honor.”

Speaking as a former educator and a parent, Tim Walz criticized Donald Trump for using a “damaging” term in the process. He further called it “hurtful” and said they had fought for 30 years to get out of the schools.

“Kids know better than to use it,” he added.

Walz further said that President Trump had normalized “this type of hateful behavior” and language.

He added that he believed it was because Trump wasn’t a “good human being,” but stated that it was also to distract America from his incompetence.

Tim Walz defends Somali community, praises its ‘diversity’

Tim Walz further spoke about Trump’s negative comments about the Somali community in Minnesota and urged him to stop.

He said that the community brought “diversity” and “energy” to the state and said that it made no sense for Donald Trump to “randomly do this.”

“Do your job, get the criminals out, secure our border, but do it with dignity and respect to the American tradition,” he added.

Walz urged Trump to respect refugees and immigrants and be a “beacon of hope.”

Tim Walz adds to his ‘release the MRI results’ response to Trump

Welker recalled Walz's initial reaction to Trump’s Thanksgiving Day post, in which he told the president to release the results of the MRI he underwent. The latter explained that Trump’s behavior was “not normal” or “healthy.”

He added that presidents before Donald Trump had released some information, like their tax returns and medical reports, over time, but never Trump.

He said that the MRI was one thing, but that it was concerning that Trump had an MRI scheduled for him, but didn’t know what it was for.

“It’s clear the president’s fading physically,” he claimed.

Walz added that there were reasons to be concerned and said that Trump is someone who was “throwing around slurs” at midnight while demonizing “our children.”

He added that Trump was not solving any problems, which is why Walz was concerned that Trump was “incapable of doing the job.”
