PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to share a video clip of his reception at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) wrestling championships in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 22, reported Newsweek.

Since winning the White House for a second term on November 5, 2024, Trump has made appearances at a number of sporting events, including the Super Bowl 2025, the Daytona 500, as well as an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fight.

The NCAA wrestling championship which Donald Trump attended took place in the Democratic-leaning city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, a swing state that Trump won over in the 2024 general election.

In the video that he uploaded and has since gone viral across platforms, the 78-year-old incumbent is seen receiving a standing ovation in the arena, with many breaking into chants of "USA! USA!" at one point.

However, not everyone was pleased to have the MAGA leader in attendance. Many spectators were reportedly heard booing in the Wells Fargo Center arena, highlighting a mixed reception for the POTUS. Outside the venue, approximately 300 demonstrators were present to protest Trump, as per NBC10.

Trump was accompanied by GOP Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick, tech billionaire and White House advisor Elon Musk, and Congressman Jim Jordan at the event. The heavyweight final fight was won by Oklahoma state wrestler Wyatt Hendrickson, who saluted and hugged Trump, wrapped in an American flag.
