A clip that has gone viral across social media shows Trump with his eyes closed, and he once even tried to jolt himself awake during a special ceremony, which was held in his honor at the Saudi royal court by the crown prince, per Daily Beast.

Notably, during the meeting, more than a dozen agreements between the US and Saudi Arabia were signed, which focus on the governments’ economies, militaries, and cultural institutions.

Interestingly, as the clip went viral, many people online took jibes at Trump and thought he was not giving attention to the Crown Prince during the meeting.

However, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung denied that Trump wasn’t paying attention.

He said, "It’s clear that President Trump was fully engaged and listening intently as he finalized historic deals on his return to Saudi Arabia."

"The Daily Beast should perk up and stop slacking instead of taking their cues of liberal liars who have shown a history of deceiving the American people," Cheung added.

During the meeting on Tuesday, the US and Saudi Arabia signed a $142 billion arms deal touted by the White House as the "largest defense sales agreement in history", according to the Guardian.

Trump's visit was mainly focused on business interests and securing quick wins for the administration, per the outlet.
