CORALVILLE, IOWA: Despite his advantages in the latest polls, Donald Trump urged his supporters to "go out and vote" on his Wednesday, December 13  rally in Iowa, as per The Hill.

The former president emphasized to his supporters the significance of the margin of victory, mentioning his poll advantages over other republican contenders, such as former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Donald Trump talks about the 'margin of victory' at Coralville rally

During his event in Coralville, Trump said, "I have to say this, we are leading by a lot, but you have to go out and vote."

Republicans in Iowa, who are expected to participate in the caucuses on January 15, were surveyed by NBC News, the Des Moines Register, and Mediacom. Of them, 51% said Trump was their top pick, followed by DeSantis (19%) and Haley (16%).

Trump added, "The margin of victory is very important. It’s just very important, even for foreign countries watching, but it’s very important. That margin of victory is so, so powerful."

In an apparent attempt to support his claims, he attacked Haley for her polling in a Truth Social post on Monday, December 11, with a link to the NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom survey.

He wrote, "Where’s the Nikki Surge? I hear about it from the Fake News Media, but don’t see it in the polls, or on the ground. In any event, I hope she and DeSanctimonious are doing well and continue the same ‘Surge’ as they’ve had for the past eight weeks!"
