Trump jokes about his size while mocking Biden’s beach trips: ‘You won’t see me in a bathing suit’

WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump indulged in some self-deprecating humor while roasting his former rival Joe Biden.

During an October 14 White House sit-down with Argentina’s President Javier Milei, the US commander-in-chief made some hilarious cracks about his own physique while trolling former President Biden’s beach habits.

Donald Trump roasts Joe Biden and himself

Trump was asked if he planned to visit Argentina. “I’d love to go to Argentina,” he said from across the table in the White House Cabinet Room. “I’d like to be like Biden. I’d like to go to the beach. My legs are not quite as thin as his. My legs are slightly heavier. My arms are slightly larger. My body is a little bit larger than his.”

“I’m not sure it would be appreciated on the beach, but I’m not going to take a chance. You won’t see me in a bathing suit sitting on a beach in Argentina, falling down, not being able to lift a 3-ounce chair — meant for old people to lift," he quipped.

This is not the first time Trump has mocked Biden's beach trips. The president has repeatedly used his former rival’s Delaware beach trips as comedic fodder.

Trump had delivered another vintage roast back in February at CPAC. “He (Biden) had one ability that was amazing,” Trump said to a cheering conservative crowd.

“He could go with cameras on him, television fake news on him. Probably because he knows they wouldn’t cover it badly. You know, they covered him as well as you can cover him. How the hell can you cover the guy? Well, but he had this incredible ability. He could barely walk in the sand. Somebody thought he looked great in a bathing suit.”

Donald Trump's support of Milei

Between the laughs, Trump made it clear he’s all in on supporting Argentina’s firebrand leader, Milei, who’s facing critical midterm elections back home.

“I’m with this man because his philosophy is correct,” Trump said, looking across at the Argentine president. “I think he’s going to win, and if he wins we’re staying with him, and if he doesn’t win we’re gone.”

The Trump administration is reportedly pushing forward a massive $20 billion bailout to keep Argentina’s economy afloat, a lifeline ahead of the October 26 elections.

Milei’s La Libertad Avanza party is aiming to gain more seats in both chambers to strengthen its hand in pushing austerity and free-market reforms for South America’s second-largest economy, which has long been on a financial roller coaster.

Meanwhile, Argentina’s opposition Peronists have been celebrating after an unexpectedly wide victory in Buenos Aires provincial elections last month, a result that rattled investors.

Donald Trump and Milei's mutual admiration

The bromance between Trump and Milei has been building for months, if not years. Trump has gushed about Milei as “his favorite president,” clearly drawn to the libertarian’s unfiltered style, speeches, and his love of bulldozing bureaucracies.

Milei, known for his shaggy rockstar hair and joking that he takes political advice from his dogs, has become a conservative icon across Latin America.

For his part, the Argentine has been equally effusive in his praise. “President Trump, in the United States, also understands that it is time to reverse a dynamic that was leading the United States to a catastrophe, and we know that a catastrophe in the United States is a global catastrophe," Milei said while addressing the UN General Assembly earlier this year.

He’s even credited Trump’s “successful policy in terms of halting illegal immigration” and his efforts to “clean up” what Milei calls the institutional “left-wing capture” of the American state.

During his White House visit, Milei told Trump he was “very honored, especially in this moment when we are giving thanks for Trump’s great leadership.” He added, “Together, as the closest of allies, we will make a hemisphere of economic freedom and prosperity.”
