Trump loses 20lbs since first term as annual physical check-up reveals POTUS is in ‘excellent health’

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump is declared to be in "excellent health" by White House physician Sean Barbabella, who shared the results of the incumbent's annual physical check-up on Sunday, April 13, reported People.
The 78-year-old underwent evaluations at Walter Reed Army Medical Center on Friday before heading to Mar-a-Lago for the weekend. Trump is the oldest person to be sworn in as president, and he will beat his predecessor Joe Biden, 82, to be the oldest serving POTUS in the history of the United States if he serves out his full term.
Trump was 78 years and 7 months on January 20, 2025, while Biden was 78 years and 2 months old when he took office on January 20, 2021.

Trump had announced undergoing a physical examination earlier in the week on Truth Social, saying, "I have never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done!"
Donald Trump loses weight in his second term
Sean Barbabella revealed that Donald Trump, who stands tall at 6-foot-3, currently weighs 224lbs. Back in 2020, when he last underwent a health check-up as POTUS, Trump reportedly weighed 244lbs. The report confirms recent speculations about the president's weight loss, which have been doing the rounds over the last few weeks.
The memo shared by Barbabella further reveals that Trump is on two medications, Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe, for cholesterol control. He also takes Aspirin for cardiac prevention and uses Mometasone cream to treat a skin condition. Trump is reportedly up-to-date with his vaccinations and underwent some recent surgeries, such as cataract surgery on both eyes.

Declaring Trump "fully fit" to hold the top office in the country and praising his "active lifestyle," Barbabella stated, "President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function."
Trump's "days include participation in multiple meetings, public appearances, press availability, and frequent victories in golf events," the physician added.

This is the first medical report on Trump released to the public since the assassination attempt on him at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, back in July 2024. Former White House doctor Ronny Jackson gave him a clean bill of health at the time as well, stating that his injuries were only superficial, per BBC.
Internet skeptical over Donald Trump being declared 'fully fit'
Social media users did not readily accept Donald Trump to be in good physical condition. Since his inauguration on January 20, the incumbent sparked health concerns with a discolored patch being visible on his hand in February.
Earlier this month, Trump absent-mindedly walked off stage before signing off the the executive order on 'reciprocal' tariffs, further fanning concerns.
"Donald Trump's health record, released today, is a joke!" stated a user. They added, "His so-called "excellent" health report is fit for a 20-years old but NOT a 78+ year old man! Just look at him! They're lying again!"

Probably he dictated his "excellent health" record again, just like he did it before, according to the doctor who examined him!

"Like everything else, he lies about his health. No one believes the results of his physicals. All you have to do it is look at him to know he isn't well," claimed another.

"Didn't know golf counted as a health metric," jibed one.
"Glorious supreme leader of the west, Donald Trump, confirmed to possess health of ten oxen. White House doctor, trembling with reverence, announces that cholesterol visibly flees his body in fear," satirized another.

"How much is the physician paid to spit out that lie?" fumed one user.
However, some users seemed upbeat about Trump being in "excellent health".
A user said, "Perfect health indeed."
Another said, "Applause for total transparency!"
"For his age though, i gotta admit that it's very impressive and i hope to be that healthy when the time comes!" a comment read.
