WASHINGTON, DC: As Donald Trump pushes forward on his 2024 campaign promises and claims to prioritize national security, renewed attention is swirling online around the unresolved Jeffrey Epstein saga.

Now, a controversial new report from a biographer suggests Trump may be planning to "sacrifice Ukraine" in a high-stakes distraction from the Epstein drama.

The claim surfaces just as Trump prepares for a high-profile meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump seeks a 'big thing', biographer Michael Wolff reveals

According to biographer Michael Wolff, Donald Trump may be considering pulling the US out of the Ukraine-Russia conflict as a political distraction from renewed scrutiny over his alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaking on the premiere episode of his new Daily Beast podcast 'Inside Trump’s Head' with Joanna Coles, Wolff claimed Trump is under increasing pressure from Republicans demanding transparency around the Epstein files.

Wolff alleged, "Let me go back about a week or so, or 10 days, when Trump started to say to everyone who would listen — and everyone listens to Donald Trump — to staffers and on the phone calls, the relentless phone calls that he's constantly making, he said, 'I need a big thing. I need a big thing,'"

“What’s the 'big thing?' And everyone understood that this was code for I need a distraction from Epstein. What’s the thing that will move us beyond that?’” Wolff recounted.

He also mentioned that an earlier attempt to stir buzz, a rumored conversation between Trump and former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ahead of the NYC mayoral race, failed to generate momentum. “It didn’t get traction,” Wolff said, adding, “I mean, Epstein still goes on behind everything. Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, that drum beat."

Michael Wolff now believes Trump may see Ukraine as his potential “big thing,” a major geopolitical shift designed to redirect the conversation and rally political attention elsewhere.

He continued, "That is what he got to. I’m going to have to do Ukraine. He’s going to sacrifice Ukraine for Epstein. Essentially, this is, in his mind, a trade. It is the MAGA people who have pressed this Epstein issue constantly. I mean, they’re the threat. Nobody in the White House can see this turning out so well for Ukraine."

While Trump may attempt to shift global attention by intervening in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, biographer Wolff argues that scrutiny over Jeffrey Epstein won’t fade so easily. “The Epstein drumbeat is real,” Wolff said. “It is unceasing and it is threatening, most of all, to Donald Trump.”

White House dismisses Michael Wolff's claims

However, the White House quickly dismissed Wolff’s claims.

In a statement to the The Daily Beast, Communications Director Steven Cheung blasted the biographer, saying, “Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s*** and has been proven to be a fraud.”

Cheung continued, “He routinely fabricates stories originating from his sick and warped imagination, only possible because he has a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain."

Internet sparks debate over biographer's revelation about Trump

A clip from author Michael Wolff’s new podcast went viral after he claimed that Donald Trump might be “sacrificing Ukraine” to divert attention from the Jeffrey Epstein files. The online response was swift and biting.

One user dismissed Wolff entirely: “Wolff is a proven liar with ‘unnamed sources.’”

Another wag asked a sardonic rhetorical question: “Sooo, Trump is treating Ukraine like Abraham sacrificing his first born?”

A more elaborate response chimed in: “They are exactly correct! Trump is also compromised. Russia supposedly hacked our Federal court systems. Russia may very well have the Epstein files. They will use that as leverage because Trump is a compulsive liar. Liars don’t like truth telling. Liars lie because they can’t be honest and the shit that they do. Trump tries to hide. Trump is willing to sacrifice Ukraine, and not his ego.”

Others went for sarcasm. “He pretends he knows what he’s talking about. 🤡” One commenter quipped, “This guy should write some fiction books, he has a dystopian view of the future!”

Amid the jokes, one user mocked Trump with a Photoshopped image showing him grasping a giant book titled 1000 Ways to Hide Epstein Files for Dummies.

Even some thoughtful users offered realism: “This is all very clear. Nothing could be achieved this Friday without both warring countries present. There is nothing about Russia's position that we don't already know.”

A wistful voice noted, “What ever happened to Trump releasing his tax returns after the audit was complete in his 1st term 🤔 it's been close to 10 years and still waiting. Sounds like he is using the same tactics with the Epstein Files. Maybe in 10 plus years we will see the Epstein Files when Trump is.”

Another user corrected the narrative sharply: “He can't. He can stop support to Ukraine and arms… but he can't give Ukraine to Putin. He doesn't "OWN" Ukraine.”
