WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump recently roasted his "seriously overweight: friend for struggling to shed weight despite taking the "fat shot drug." This sparked speculations that the pal in question is none other than his "first buddy" Elon Musk.

The 78-year-old POTUS shared the anecdote about his "neurotic" friend to highlight the pricing disparity of weight loss drugs in the US and other nations as he signed an executive order on Monday, May 12, to lower the price of prescription drugs by up to 80%.

This came just a day after he announced on his Truth Social that his proposal to "almost immediately" reduce drug prices by 30 to 80 percent would be regarded among the "most consequential" executive orders in history.

Donald Trump’s tidbit about his ‘seriously overweight’ friend

In his usual style, Donald Trump veered off during the signing to share a tidbit about his overweight friend, who complained about how expensive weight loss drugs are in the United States.

“A friend of mine who’s a businessman—very, very, very top guy, most of you would have heard of him—a highly neurotic, brilliant businessman, seriously overweight, and he takes the fat shot,” Trump told reporters without mentioning the business colleague by name.

“And he called me up … he’s a rough guy, smart guy, very successful, very rich … ‘Mr President, could I ask you a question? I’m in London, and I just paid for this damn fat drug I take,” he added, the Daily Mail reported.

“I said, ‘It’s not working,'” Trump joked, before adding ‘He said, ‘I just paid $88 and in New York I pay $1,300. What the hell is going on? So I checked, and it’s the same box made in the same plant by the same company. It’s the identical pill that I buy in New York. And here I’m paying $88 in London, and in New York, I’m paying $1,300.'"

Trump continued, "Now, this is a great businessman, so — but he’s not familiar with this crazy situation that we have. But he was stunned.”

He added, “I brought it up with the drug companies, represented by somebody who’s very, very smart, a good person too. And we argued about it for about an hour. And then finally, he just said, because they can’t justify it, he just said, ‘Look, you got me. You got me. I can no longer justify [the price difference].'”

The outgoing DOGE leader and Tesla Boss previously confirmed he used Mounjaro, one of the blood sugar medications that has become popular for weight loss.

Pointing out Musk’s previous confession, one user wrote, “Elon Musk has admitted to taking the “fat shot drug” as Donald Trump calls it. Is he the “seriously overweight” and “highly neurotic” businessman that Donald is talking about? Hilarious that Donald said “it’s not working.”

“Damn I bet Elon is mad Trump is calling him FAT lol or maybe he’s talking about someone else,” another said.

“Elon aka the fat man? Hmm,” one person asked.

“Elon has admitted to taking Mounjaro,” another remarked.

One person commented, “I didn’t know Elon was in London.”

Another called Trump’s story an “Elon shade.”
