WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump said it is time for the country to “get onto something else” and stop talking about the Epstein files. He claimed that the millions of pages of documents do not show any links to him and are instead part of a plot to hurt him.

Trump spoke to reporters on Tuesday, February 3, saying the files prove he is innocent and that the real problem lies with the Democrats. He said the records show how his enemies tried to use Epstein to make him lose his position.

Trump claims Epstein files show plot

Trump told the press that the documents expose an alleged plan involving Epstein and a writer named Michael Wolff.

He said they wanted to stop him from becoming president. Trump claimed that after reviewing everything, his name appears only because of this “conspiracy.”

“A reporter named Wolf and Epstein conspired, this just came out yesterday in the millions of pages of documents, how crazy this is. conspired against me in order to fight like hell to make sure I lose the election,” Trump said.

Even though many people are still asking questions about the files, Trump said the conversation should end now.

He said the news should focus on other issues, such as health care or the economy. “I think it’s really time for the country to get on to something else, really,” Trump told reporters.

He added, “Now that nothing came out about me other than it was a conspiracy against me literally by Epstein and other people, I think it’s time now for the country to maybe get on to something else.”

Trump labels scandal a ‘Democrat problem’

Trump also said the Epstein scandal is not something his party needs to worry about.

He called it a “Democrat problem” and said many people from the other side were the ones truly involved with Epstein. He insisted that the focus must return to running the country.

“So, that takes care of Epstein as far as Trump is concerned. But you got a lot of Democrats out there that are very much involved with Epstein,” Trump said.

“But I I'll be honest with you, you got to get back to running the country, too. millions and million every week. You know, when he was alive, nobody cared about him. When he's dead, they care about him. But it's really a Democrat problem. It's not a Republican. It's a Democrat problem.”

He added, “The only problem Republicans have is that we have to get back to number one running our country. And then number two, very importantly, letting the public know what a great job we're doing.”
