TURNBERRY, SCOTLAND, President Donald Trump claimed on Monday, July 28, that he has resolved six international conflicts since beginning his second term in January 2025, averaging, as he put it, “a war a month.”

Speaking during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his Turnberry golf course, Trump said his threat to pull out of trade negotiations was what prompted a ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia.

A video clip of Trump making the bold statement quickly circulated online, drawing widespread ridicule and disbelief across social media platforms.

Donald Trump says he has ended six wars since returning to office

In a viral video circulating on X, President Donald Trump claimed he has ended six wars since returning to office in January 2025, averaging what he described as “about a war a month.”

Trump made the remarks during a meeting with Keir Starmer at his golf resort in Turnberry on Monday, July 28.

Referring to recent deadly clashes between Cambodia and Thailand, Trump said, “I solved 6 wars... I averaged a war per month. Including wars that [had been] raging 500 years. We have some good news. The recent war that you just saw, the newest of the five that we just solved...this will be the sixth.” He credited a threat to cut off trade talks with helping bring about the ceasefire.

Trump also asserted that his diplomacy prevented escalation between India and Pakistan and contributed to a peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. He further claimed involvement in easing tensions between Serbia and Kosovo. Trump has previously taken credit for ending a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.

However, he did not specify which two other conflicts he believes he helped resolve. Meanwhile, during the same meeting, Trump and Starmer addressed the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where aid agencies have warned of “mass starvation.”

Despite his bold claims, Trump has so far failed to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine or mediate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Internet erupts after Donald Trump claims to have ended six wars

A viral clip of President Donald Trump boasting that he had solved six international conflicts since taking office in January 2025 has sparked a wave of mockery across social media. The video, which racked up millions of views on X (formerly Twitter), received over 2K comments and more than 1.6K reposts, most of them ridiculing his claims.

One user wondered aloud, “I can't even imagine how other leaders sit next to this f*****g idiot without laughing, they must have to practice in a mirror or something before they meet with him.”

Another user created a meme parodying The Lion King poster, replacing the title with The LYIN KING and featuring Trump mid-stride.

“Trump lies non-stop,” another X user wrote. “Either he is a pathological liar or he is truly suffering from dementia. He lives in a fantasy world where he acts out his delusions, while sycophants and world leaders look on in dumbfounded silence.”

Mockery continued with users dredging up past blunders. “Said the guy who thought that the Declaration of Independence came out of the Civil War,” one person quipped, attaching a GIF of people laughing.

Others kept it short. “He is insane,” one wrote.

While another tweeted, “I want the list 😂 Preferably with start/end dates 🤣.”

A social media user questioned, "That's great, ending 6 Wars. With just a phone call, I'm sure. But what about the wars he hasn't stopped, or those he started? Russia, hunger, human rights, Justice, poverty, Gaza."

Another commenter sarcastically asked, “Why did those wars only start AFTER Trump took over? 🤣”

One user observed, “The hilarious, satirical jokes this term has produced have made for a truly interesting leaf season!”

Attention also turned to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who appeared in the clip beside Trump. “Starmer looks so uncomfortable. Looks like he’s not sure if Trump is telling a joke and if he should laugh,” one user wrote.

Another added, “Prime Minister Starmer looking around for someone to rescue him! He thinks he’s being punked but doesn’t know how to get out of this situation! 😂😂😂”
