Vances welcome fourth child
JD and Usha Vance revealed on Sunday, July 19, that they had welcomed baby Alec Neel earlier that morning. In a statement shared on social media, the couple said both mother and child were doing well and that their three older children were excited to meet their new sibling.
The vice president and second lady also thanked the medical teams at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit for their care throughout the pregnancy.
Alec joins siblings Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel, making the Vances a family of six. The birth is also historically notable, as Usha Vance is the first sitting second lady in more than 150 years to give birth while her husband serves as vice president.
Trump's post draws attention online
Trump's congratulatory post quickly gained traction online, with supporters sharing the first image of baby Alec and sending well wishes to the Vance family.
JD Vance has frequently spoken about the importance of supporting American families and encouraging higher birth rates.
For long, JD Vance has been advocating for more births and have openly declared the need to create more babies in the USA for a healthier society. Now, with four children, they are creating a sort of mini baby boom in the top order of US government. pic.twitter.com/nt4ke1u2OE
