WASHINGTON, DC: The campaign spokesperson of former President Donald Trump appeared to lean onto racial stereotypes to attack Vice President Kamala Harris

On Wednesday, August 7, Steven Cheung took to X (formerly Twitter) to write, "Make sure AF2 is deep cleaned because Lord only knows what @KamalaHarris and her team have done on there. The smell alone on that plane must be crazy."

JD Vance says Kamala Harris' plane will soon be his as they land at the same Wisconsin airport

Steven Cheung made the remark while resharing a post by Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, in which the Ohio senator was seen walking over to Air Force 2 - Kamala Harris' plane.

The airplanes of both Harris and Vance landed at the same airport in Wisconsin on Wednesday for dueling campaign events.

Standing in front of Harris' plane, Vance said, "I figured that I would come by and get a good look at the plane because hopefully, it’s going to be my plane in a few months," as reported by The Hill

He added, "I thought the reporters traveling with Kamala might be a little lonely given that she never answers questions from them, so I figured I’d come to say hello and check out my new plane while I was at it."

In response, Harris’ campaign shared a video that showed her and her running mate, Tim Walz, interacting with children after landing. As Vance’s plane arrived, a voiceover said, "I hear this agitating, grating voice."

Internet slams Steven Cheung over his racially charged remark about Kamala Harris

Steven Cheung's remark about the "smell" on Kamala Harris' plane outraged netizens.

One wrote, "YOU RACIST P-O-S That will NEVER be Vance's plane…" and another said, "Is this some reference to her being a woman? The GOP and @TeamTrump just confirming over and over they weirdly hate/have no understanding of women."

"Vance, why you were allowed to even approach that plane is frightening. And Steven Cheung what is your problem?  What are you even talking about? Verbal garbage," expressed a person.

Someone else remarked, "So explanation, please. Why would it smell? Are you a racist, bigot, chauvinist, ignoramus, or all of these? Because you know what stinks- your judgment and that of anyone who hires you."

"I think you're projecting Trump's unique body odor. That's what you get for working for the guy," wrote another person, with one more saying, "Wow, that sounds racist."

"I don’t even know what this is supposed to mean — I just know that it’s creepy and weird and on brand," said an individual.
